Thanks guys and gals.

Time for some bud shots. Forrest fires near by so getting lots of ash falling on my plants. Had the leaf blower out yesterday. Not really that bad today. But thats what you see on the leafs in spots. The fires are far away but the wind most have carried ash about 50 miles or so.

Did you notice the camper van down on the end? Thats where I sleep with my shoes on and 3 dogs. No tents this year. I went out and bought a camper van. TV and all so camping in style this year.

I cannot afford to not sleep with them. I cannot control who knows about my grow just from view alone. So yah ready for battle...

Nice. I got a fridge stereo TV/cable and a Ham radio I been messing with. Not to mention a captians chair and nice bed.

Daylight is sure nice to see when garden plants all nights.

I had on attempt in 2009. Nothing last year and nothing this year so far. I got it alarmed pretty good. I can see a fence jumper getting a few branches and running.

In my setup I can only be alerted with driveway alerts when a ripper is already inside my yard. So I only know once they are back there. I have no way to alarm the front and sides.

Sometimes I get false alerts from the driveway alerts. (moths or wind) The way I combat this is have lots of alerts thru out your grow in the same area and different channels. If multible alerts go off at the same time. You can bet your ass a rippers is in my yard. If a single one goes off it may be the wind. Before I used this method I did not know if it was wind or ripper. I would have to patrol my fence line looking for holes. Also under my trees next to my grow I have barb wire running thru them in most likly spots. Along with junk piled under them. My dogs will hear that stuff for sure. I also leave recievers outside. I want to scare them off before they can rip a plant out. So I keep two recievers with me. And a few to chime so the ripper can hear. I would rather just scare them off than confront them. Also if I am in my basement like right now. And the recieavers go off. it will take me 30 secounds or so to get outside. A ripper can do damage in that time. By having a few outside I am sure they would be gone as soon as they heard it. I am not the fighting type. But I can swing a bat pretty dam good.

My Jack Russel Terrior hates those little cat bells. She thinks they are the neighbors cats that have bells on there collers. So I hang those little bells on the bob wire inside my tree/fence line. If she hears those bells it's freak out time. I have a Lab and a Min Pin. I pay no attension to them. If my Jack is alerted then I know whats up. Love the JRT. Shes my working dog for sure. After every harvest I get them a pot roast. Thats there harvest.

I also bring in a yard of fresh cow manure. I put a hge pile in my veggie garden. Then leave the rest in a trailor in front of my van. My yards smells like a texas stalk yard. I also give some to my nighbors. I just tell them I bought to much. Trying to stop people from walking by my house smelling my grow.

My dad always said watched to the fat guy. He will do the job in the most easy way.

I hear ya man, I got a Yorkie cross that lets me know if someones around that's not supposed to be. I have a camper too. I bought it and put it on the big 40 grow last year, which was not on my property. I have it parked right near my grow this year, but I also have my detached garage right next to the garden too, and both are set-up to sleep in and my trim help will be in one of em' too.
The flowershotS are awesome BTW! SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL!

Okay the rain is on the way so I started my cover. My work was tossing out these plastic curtians things that hang in warehouse doors. I got about 75 of them. I am using these for I need a few doors to get to my plants. With my patio roof I am cramped on the front side of the cover some. This is why you see two doors. The back side of the cover will be open for the trees stop all the rain and I like the air flow. But I needed doors on the front side. They are thick heavy plastic rubber type. I will make a loop on the bottom of them and slide a board thru for to stop from flapping in the wind. The shorter door will not matter for the door is far from the plants. Also my dogs need to get thru as well.
Anyway here is the start of my project and some bud shots.
Enjoy.

Also from my works dumpster. These little metal clamps things work great to hold wood to metal poles. A guy could use plumber metal strips as well. (not sure what they call them) This method locks the wood soild. In the past I drilled holes on each side of the pole and used bailing wire. This was is much better and faster. This will give my something to screw my clear plastic cover down to. So I can get a nice tight top plastic. Also when the roof plastic stretches over time. I can losen the screw and pull the plastic tight again. Less chance of puddles forming on the roof.

Nothing like a good dog. My Lab is off duty at night for the most part. Unless the Jack R barks then he gets up. The Lab is just a big ol lover. Great gaurd dog during the day though. Just a night he says the hell with it. I am sleeping.

I am loving the van. It sure beats a tent. I also like the fact that it can be seen from the street if you look good. This is telling the ripper attempt from 2009 that I am still camping in my backyard. No attemp last year though. But yah one for sure is still out there and he knows I grow. The bastard got into my backyard and was standing next to the plant in my avatar. So you sure know what he is thinking..........

Never grew these strains so I have no clue. But from my other past grows I will say about 2.5 to 3lbs from the larger plants in the ground. And perhaps 1 to 2lbs from the plants in the ground. although my potted plants in 2009 were 1 1/4lb and my potted plants this year are much bigger.

But yah as far as guessing goes I have no clue. This is only my 3rd year growing over 1lb plants so still hard to tell for me. My guess could be way off but I like the guess :) Sounds good.

Also I dry and then store my plants in mattress bags to be able to stay legal in my state. So I canot really know how much some of my plants weigh. Unless I keep track of what I take out of the bag. In Oregon you can store the whole dried plant in mattress bags. If you store your plants like this it is considered a plant and not your legal limit. I just take 24oz off the plant at a time. This way I can have 20 plus lbs and still be legal. If your storing your 6 plants. That counts as the 6 you can grow. So I cannot have 6 plants in matress bags and be growing 6 more. It's one or the other. This is Oregon laws so check with your lawyer or state. I have a vid in this thread that goes over this if your interested in the loop hole.

Say I have 20lbs harvest from 12 plants. Me and the wife..... So in short the minute I cut up my plants and hang and soon as it dries I am say 17lbs over my legal limit. With the mattress bag I can pull out my legal limit and be 100% legal sitting on 20lbs.

This update shows how I will get around that little plant. Also how low the plastic will go on the side. Also used some slates to hold the door rubber. The tape is the hinge. LOL

My dog will dig that hole and lay in it all day when it is hot. He never was a digger until I grow MJ plants.

Thanks guys and gals.

Well the AK-47 are the new king of the potted plants. The american dream started much faster. But they AK-47 caught up fast. And then passed the AD like a chevy flying by a ford.
But check out these Ak's at 4 weeks flower. This plant is going to be huge. American Dream is fat bud but not very tall on the branch. The AD is listed a good 45 to 50 day scrog style plant for indoors.

The american dream has all out more buds though. The AK has bigger upper buds right now. But one week ago it was not even close to the AD.
