Hey guys, I'm 70 days in to this grow, for a total of 42 days of flowering.

Here are the pics:

These are three different pots, with two plants each on the white ones and one plant in the round one.
I put two plants on each side of the long pots and LST'd them towards the center, then switched to flower (I put one on each side for insurance - didn't want to spend a month and get three male plants). Turns out, I only had one male out of the five plants.

Last two pics are just before I defoliated a bit and switched to flower (around day 25 total)

Early flower (Day 14 flower)

First two pics are flowering day ~15-16 and after their second LST session. The next are a few days later after the plants recovered and the tops turned upwards again.

Day 44 of flower (actually today). Around 70 days total. The brutal proximity of the panel to the top of the plants, along with a bit high temps seem to be stressing my girls out.

On warm days I get around 87 degrees f, 31c. Will put an exhaust fan with a DIY filter ASAP.

lookin really good so far, I see you are growing in grow beds similar to the ones Hans uses.

what strain is this?
what are your grow dimensions?

look forward to seeing those buds get big!

Hey multipass, thanks for stopping by! I'm looking forward to the bigbadbloom as well!

I am using ~3 gallon rectangular pots, about 20cm height, 20 width and 50 length. I'm not sure about the strains, big one looks like an afghani (or some hybrid of that?), then there's another small plant in the same pot (not sure what it is) and the single one is a sativa-looking gal whose heritage is also dubious!

This is my first indoors grow (I only have one other grow under my belt - balcony grow, wasn't very good) and I'm using bagseeds till I learn how to grow proper weed.

no such thing...

either your growing, or your not.

why fill your head with such nonsense, the only thing holding you back, is the excuses you make. would you rather have 100 grams of shit you don't want to grow, or 20 grams of something you do?

Well, I don't have the money to spend on seeds right now and I did only keep the seeds that I liked. This way I've got both variety and I'm earning experience. I don't even have proper reflectors right now, can't spend $$ on seeds when I don't even know how to grow them. Anyway, here's some more pics!

First two is my compost tea brewing for tomorrow.

This is my micro-composting bins. The big one with the green shovel is the fresh one and the one on the right is the almost-done one. I have a separate, smaller bin where I keep a mix of my done compost, manure and kelp meal, that I use directly in my compost teas.

Hey farts, the tops are just 10cm away from the lights and still growing. I am actually trying to find a way to make the box shorter cause I don't want to disturb the buds by lst'ing them again. I would also like to generally have a bit more space. I have the panel as far from the top as possible without straining its cooling fan much (it actually wines if I move the panels any closer to the top).

/edit/ uh, meant to say I'm trying to make the box taller, not shorter.

Good work here my friend...you can grow quality cannabis from bagseed and dont be discouraged by pointlessness...your grow clearly shows you are not... :)

Loving the Compost tea and composting.... :D

Thanks for the info Ak. Wow, I didn't realize you could keep Hans's light so close to the tops. Looks like you're doing a good job to me. Keep it up!

I appreciate the positive vibes you guys! Chronikool, I've read your journals yesterday, really good stuff you've got going on. I might steal a couple of plays from your own LED grows in the future, as I have a feeling I might need to supplement a bit extra lighting in my box... Since my box is so dang short, my panel doesn't have the chance to spread its light around and I get minimal exposure on the sides of my pots.

Nothing at all wrong with bagseed. Looks good. Bagseed is just as good or better than what you can buy from 99% of today's pollen chunkers.

Day 50 of 12/12 - 78 from seed

First up, aerial view, next is a bit closer and then there's some color-coding to show you guys how all three plants fit in their pots. You can also see my little retard girl in the round pot. I might be taking her out soon, doesn't seem to be worth keeping that far out of the "habitable" zone.

Buds! Is it just me or are my buds foxtailing? I wasn't expecting the first one to be pushing so many new pistils out. I swear it was brown-er a few days ago.

DSC01679.JPGDSC01686.JPGDSC01687.JPG

Does anyone have any input on whether I should defoliate/pull some fan leaves? I'm thinking I should be stressing that fat brown haired lady a bit more so that she finishes sooner.

Also, can anyone tell me what windburn looks like? I'm either getting a bit of that or heat-stress. Not sure which one. Maybe it is some deficiency that causes the brown tips on the leaves?

Well, I haven't sampled anything but my own, so I wouldn't know about bagseed...but you must have thought it was good enough if you kept some seeds. If so, you'll care for the plants much better than the ones who grew them out to make $$, so you'll likely have some good stuff.

Looks good!

Just wondering, how are you venting your box? Does the light actually only emit so little heat that it stays at 31 degrees without a cooling method?

Jericho: Yeah man, if nothing else, I'm giving my girls love! I make them compost teas with the purest materials I can find etc. Too bad my big bud plant doesn't push a lot of trichomes, but other than that I'm fairly satisfied about my seed selections. Can't wait to try some of my weed when the time comes!

Mystic: Yup, panel's pretty low at heat production. Can't complain, although it would be cool to have a proper filter that both makes the box cooler and my room less stinky.

Thanks GiTG, have another look at the box, made some changes, added a better filter and opened up some space.

Here's my first two girls @ day 52

girl-1-2.jpg

Girl #1, buds. On the first pic, I believe the buds show which is the best height for the panel: The bud at the bottom of the pic is way frostier than the other two. Everything is stressed and lazy at ~10cm bellow the panel, and the problem is that the buds have been there for a long time now. I should have LST'd again earlier...

girl-1-lower-is-better.jpggirl-1-mid-buds.jpggirl-1-midbuds-moar.jpg

Here's my second girl, same pot as girl #1. From left to right, the lower buds, the main cola and the tree trunk with a ladybug. This ladybug looks bigger than when I first put it in a week ago, I believe it's predating the fuck out of something in that box. Hopefully just gnats, but even if I have mites, I'm confident I will be able to complete the grow before they get enough numbers to fuck shit up.

And here's my favourite, girl #3! She's very sativa-esque and I love her. I plucked some fan leaves of off her, I'm thinking of cooking with them. The middle pic is not photoshoped, I just messed around with some stupid camera settings. I'm still learning how to take proper photographs of bud!
