So has anyone tried running auto on a light cycle of 5 on 1 off 5 on 1 off 5 on 1 off 5 on 1 off so still 20 hours on and 4 hours off I figured this would be good for keeping temps down but also it probably wouldnt be the best on a hid bulb
That's so far from the environment that plants evolved in, I can't imagine it would work. If you try it, let us know what the results were. I seriously doubt anyone has tried it, you could be a pioneer!
i highly doubt a stabile auto will hermi under that lighting schedule
the bulb would get some wear but what is really bad on them is firing them up right after you shut them off and not allowing a cooling period
if thats what you need to do to keep the temps down then do it

if you have to do it to keep temps down then i guess.. but there are better ways to do that.. i also don't think it would have adverse effects on your plants. light is periodically obstructed in nature all the time.. my concern would be wear and tear on my equipment.. the constant on and off i don't know what you have for light but i imagine they are HID since you are so worried about heat.. i personally wouldn't want my equipment turning on and off 120+ times a month...if you have no other choice then do it
No all good temps are like 82 400 watt hps cooltube about 6-8 inches from top of autos.cool on back of my hand qas just a stoned idea not gonna really test it
