Been vegging for 11 days now since I planted the clone. LST due to space. She's had water twice once with 1/4 strength nutes with no nute burn. Came home today to find a couple brown spots which I assume are from the lights. Check her out, comments and suggestions always welcomed! check out my sig

imo the burnt tips would be nute burn, i wouldn't think cfls would do that. my 600w hps can be a few inches from the tips and not burn like that, just causes a mild bleaching. then again i use seeds and not clone, I guess clones can take more nutes as youngsters.
or maybe you spilled nutes on there, that can easily burn the leaves.
lookin good!

if your lights were touching those leaves they would burn..but if not its something else.

13 day update:
Watered her last night, seemed to take it well. Came home and no more brown spots so I'm going to say it was nutes too strong, too soon, or both. It seems that she has even grown. Really need to start bending the top around the edge of the pot so that it doesn't keep growing sideways. Any tips, suggestions, comments welcomed!
Her she is as of today:

she's looking good. I'd vote nute burn on the leaf tips. I'm doing a CFL grow too and had both nute burns and light burns to handle last week (it was a stressful week!). My clones haven't been able to handle as much nutes as some other strains can, so it could be due to that too. Definitely going to follow this grow.

update:
Added 3 more cfls today, now I'm running 6x 26w 6500k and 2x 23 2700k for vegging. Also changed my grow setup. Still have to go buy a roll of reflective from the hydro store tomorrow to cover the walls. Thinking about taking the fan behind the plant now that I have a humidifier, and I feel like there's too much air moving with the humidifier plus the other fan. Any comments on this? Also now that I have a larger floor space, I'm almost positive about picking up another clone, as well as planting both in larger pots. However, I'm a bit concerned about transplanting a LST plant to a larger pot. I'm assuming this would be super stressful on the plant? Here some pictures of the new setup, as well as plant.

green $, cfl's won't burn ur plant unless they r actully touching them....i mean really touching them. it's the nutes. otherwise the plants look good.

i use 42watt cfl's mix 5000k w/ 2700k, but also i suggest using buying a hid- a HPS is better for now if u can only afford 1.

believe me u can do a whole grow w/ HPS- don't suggest it but u can.

lst- is good.

check this place out= free shipping , no tax, fast delivery and it's a plug n-play kit @ reasonable price too site>http://www.ballastkit.com/150watthpsgrowinglight-p-488.html

Here she is after 19 days of vegging. Need to lightproof my cabinet and then I'll switch them over to 12/12 sometime next week.
