5x14ft

so i started a new flower room its 5ft wide 14ft long and 9ft high so my question how much lights can i throw in im using my old lights from my last room i got 5-400s 2-1000s and 1-600 i wass planing on running all 8 lights for the first round which is 4600 watts is that over kill in a 5x14 space and if not i wass planning on taking out the 400s the second time around and adding 5-1000s so the second run would be 7600 watts but ill be using the other half of the room wen i add the 1000s so is 4600watts over kill in a 5x14 space heres a simple layout

for the second run i should i place the 7-1000s and the 1-600 should i just put the new 1ks in the same place the 400s were in or should i use the rest of the room the other side of the room is 8x6 not including the 5x14

I'd say just 4 x 1ks would be more than enough really. Get yourself some nice hoods. 4 x raptors or whatev. If you want more than that go for 5 1ks, but I dont really think you need the 400s in there. Any way you can increase the width of room to 6? then you could really fit 8 600s with blockbuster 8s in there which would be sweet.

the whole room measures out at 12x14 i dnt have the money for the other 1000s thats y im useing wat i have for now but once this grow is done ima upgrade to the 5-1k all my hoods are air cooled and there all 6'' blockbusters so for the first run i should be good wit the 5-400s 2-1000 and the 1-600 i just dnt wnna ova kill it i know ill b good for the second run ill be using the whole room thanx mate

why do you have so many 400s? know anyone looking for some used lights? get yoself another 1k, put a little money in your pocket and get rid of the other 400s, unless you're veggin with them.

If you can deal with the heat, I'd run just 2 x 1000w with 4 plants per and vertical all of the 400s.

im useing the 400s because those are the lights i first dtarted growing with than i stppoed now here i am trying to get bck in the game i know 1000s are better but i dnt have the funds to get more lights so ima use all that i have and try to get wat i can from it i rather use them than not use them aint they more useful if i use them lol

there all air cooled i rather keep it that way i never grown bare bulbs and i got the temps in the room on point the way i got it setup but maybe next year i wnna try 1ks bare bulbs i heard very interesting things about vertical grows

Imma say 50w per square foot so.... 3500W and 4600W is not over kill its roughly 65W sqft.

Oh yeah 7000W is overkill and you can expect some light bleaching unless you get a good height distance away.
