6 inch hole

i recently bought a 6 inch carbon fan and filter, upgrading from my current 4 inch. i bought a hole saw for the 4 inch but i cant afford it again this time. i paid 40 for the 4 inch one so what can i use to cut a 6 inch hole? i got a jig saw so that should work but i dont know what is 6 inches round so i dont screw up.. is a cd 6 inches round? someone help please and thanks.

my box is built using 2x4's and i cant get a complete circle doing so because im placing it in the top corner.
i can think of about 20 different ways to do it and none of them require anything more than a pencil, string, or ruler. but i'm not sharing cause i want this thread to go on. i think it is a sign of the poor state of the educational system in the U.S. :lol:

go to your local dollar store and buy you a compass (you know the one you had in the 3ed grade with one sharp pointed end and a pencil in the other) draw all the perfect circles you want...

shit...you gave it away. lol

get a piece of string and tie a pencil and make your own compass.

you guys are all assholes. i thought this forum was to help people... i guess i was wrong.

ill buy the hole saw... its easier then i dont have to take the side wall off.

we're just messing around. don't take any offense to it. you have to admit though...that was a stner moment on your part.
