Can you recommend lighting for me? I only have this one plant. Kinda strapped for cash, but I might be able to get something new if its cheap enough.

T5's are some what cheaper and give you a fair amount of lumens and good color spectrum as well. IF you can afford it, get a hps or mh.

Not to mention the light leak would have to be fairly strong to cause it to stay in veg. I have had plants outside with porch lights shining alll night long with no problems. Shit full moon light is damn bright as well and they can handle that too!

Yeah that is only good for maybe vegging or starting out seedlings and rooting clones. Need much more light than that for anything results worth while.

There is no way my light leak was that bad. I found a miner crack of light that was escaping, so I figure thats where it was getting in too. But it was about a foot long crack that was about a centimeter wide of light.

imo compared to the light he is giving the plant , the light leak is severe , if he was using a hps , it would not matter as much , your plants outside were under the best light , the sun! , it's not comparable , plus he has stretch between the nodes , i believe the leak is causing his issue.....

Yeah, sounds about right. Small leak wont cause that much of an issue for sure. Bigger lights my friend!

Considering his plant is not recieving enough energy from his light, it cannot even begin to produce budsites. Let alone a small light leak will still allow for productive growth. his plant would have to have a good amount to keep vegging the way it has. Fix his little leak and get a better light. problem solved.

So your saying, in nature, the sun produces more light during fall to induce flowering? hmmm...

Where did I say that? The change in spectrum is what induces flowering along with the decreasing amount of light.

What i am trying to suggest to you is that because of his low power cfl , the difference between dark and day (light leak included) is nothing , so what pathetic growth is being achieved is happening as in a 24hr cycle.

I will have you know its been growing at about a 2 inch spurt every night, :)
