600 hps and.......

we have a 600 hps light ordered, and i was wondering what light do i need for vegetative state?

You could use the HPS if you want but a light more blue in spectrum will make for faster growth in veg. I use CFLs for veg. They're the curly light bulbs you can buy just about anywhere now days. Get 2 26watt bulbs per plant and you are good for veg. Make sure to get the 6500K - those are the blue/white. You can also use the tube fluorescents. T5s are best. Depends on how many plants you have which will be most cost effective.
