600 vs 1000 watt light

To my understanding 600 watts is better than 1000 watts because you can get closer to the plants to utilize as much lums as possible.
Now to my question, would the 1000 watt light be better if you could keep it at cool temps with a ac unit ?

Overall a 1000W is better it will produce more lumens, but in certain grow areas a 1000W can be too much trouble to control heat issues so growers use 600's which are perfect for smaller grows.

I ONLY use 1000w lights! You can air cool the hoods with ac. I use cold air from another room and run it through the lights then vent it outside the room. 600 watter would jus be a hassle Id need too many and they dont penetrate as well!

Thats what I do.. I pull the air from the room next door and use it to cool my two 1000's W.

Ive used 600. Got good results but im upping my flowering plants and now have space to set up my 4x4. I just order a 100 watt phillips bulb from 1000bulbs or sumthin only for 42 bucks with shipping. Also gonna have a ac to keep temps under control.

How do you guys keep temp at your ideal settings, do you have the cold air from the other rooms being pushed thur your light the whole time the light is on or do ya got a thermastat to cut the fans on and off ?

I just run the fan the whole time. I need to get a tstat just not that high on the priority list right now. And I pull the air through the lights.

i dont scrog anymore because lst them, some fishing line, and nice canopy management is the same. i feel like the girls like that better than netting, fencing or string because u can control it more instead of having the dead zone under the scrog

if your comparing a 600w to 1000w the 1000w. Have you seen the size of a 600w bulb vs a 1000w? the 1000 is huge!
Now 2 600s vs a 1000w depending on the situation ide take the 2 600s 200 more watts and 40 thousand more lumens.
Also if your getting a gram per watt you would have 200more grams with the 600s. Most growers use 1000s thow because
to start up its cheaper. Most the time 1000s are over kill unless your flowering 3-5 foot plants
Im running 400w right now and i veg indicas to 1foot then flower they end up about 2 foot i run 6 and usually end up with around
9zips dry plus all the sugar leafes i make edibles with the sugar leaf keif

1000 watt make o much heat, unless u have a nice cooling system, then its has to be so high above the canopy any advantage it had over the 600 watt is gone now... so save money, buy a better light, and get same results maybe better

the most efficient light available is made by Gavita 600 watt light, it has a built in reflector that works at 95% couple that with a decent reflector, and youll return more light than any other light, 600 watt that is.. id rather have the more lumen per watt, closer to the canopy, and the MOST reflective light, although it is exprnsive light, if u need to, u can skip the reflector as it has one built in to the bulb.. even jorge cervantes and greg green say in their books respectively that the gavita 600 watt is the most reflective and efficient light made as of the time of the last update, which was recently lol
