600 watt FLOWER SHOWER set up **need advice**

hello RIU. I've finally got urge to go big for this set up. I was using a 250 watt hps to start and end my grow. Now im going to upgrade to the shower in my home that I dont use for my flower room. My main concern is since my shower is a big opening, how am I going to seal the room? Im thinking I may get some 6 mil panda film and seal the opening from the top to the bottom, placing can fans in each corner at the top of the door for exhaust/intake. Any suggestions?

ok so its been a while since ive posted on this thread...long story short i will update pix tonite if anybody is interested. im growing inside my enclosed shower, im running into a heat issue i would soon like to avoid. i vent the air from inside the shower to the outsie where the toilet is and etc, the air is way to warm. is there some kind of homemade chiller or something i could build?my setup is carbon filter---)light----)fan---)vent into bathroom

Yes pic! Can u exhuast all the way out of the bathroom or intake. I have always wanted to grow in a shower

first pic is of the ducting from the light so is the second. the third is of the tote that houses the fan, kinda acts like a silencer, but it just exhausts into the bathroom, the problem is that the bathroom gets really warm =. i dnt have a window or anything i could vent to, but i do have a bathroom vent...any ideas??:wall:

Yea I would send the out going air out the vent.if its clean and smell free.there are sa few diy a/c thread but I don't know how well the work.some one made a nice cheap icebox.

hey man i know this has nothing to do with your new grow but i was just wondering how that 250 watt hps worked out for ya. how many plants were you able to grow under it, and how were the yeilds. im currently using cfls but have been considering switching to a hps or just adding a smaller hps to my cfl grow

Hope venting out the fan duct in the bathroom helps...if nothing else it well help keep the humidity down. I switched from 250 to 600 awhile back....you'll be happy you did ;). For the guy above, in MY case the 250was ok, used it for quite awhile. I LST'd 3 plants at a time under it and would get a decent reliable harvest. Don't count on huge hard nugs. But I tell ya, after seeing the diff in MY grow 250 -vs- 600, I'd definitley say try to go bigger if you can swing it.

yea ive been continually getting bigger setup every year. so now im going for a perpetual gram per watt. i got easy ryders going now, i wonder what ill pull from 8??? i finished a qp under the 250 watt, so maybe to hope for a lb wont be a strech.

by venting through the shower vent my grow room temps are steady at 88-91 degrees. the plants seem to enjoy the temp drop. the ambient temp outside the grow area has greatly dropped by 17 degrees, so i think im pretty much in business now. as for the autos they rate at about 2.5 oz a plant. i think if i reach that with the 7 or 8 i got going i'll be pretty stoked. but ill have cheese, afgan kush, ww, lsd, trainwreck, super lmn hze growing beside them for filler.

just an updaet if anyone wants to see. they are 4 weeks as of yesterday the ones that are labeled ak are the easy ryders. enjoy. sorry about the pic you know how it goes with a cellphone pic near the light. ill have some good ones on here later tonight. this pic ways about 3 days ago, they have alot more growth now, since ive moved the light closer
