600 watt hps, skirt trimming?

I am in seven gallons of soil. I am now under a 600 watt lumatek. I am 3 weeks in, well 3rd flower feed is saturday or so.

Question: How should I go about trimming the skirt? I mean under the colas. I have lstd and topped the plants so as they have like 5-8 colas each. Thank you;) thank you;), lol. I noticed that the light goes down to a point then gets a little cloudy. I trimmed the very bottom shoots at first flower day to focus all the energy at the colas tops.

At week three I have some nice flower formation and then some places down the plant that are not developed. I just upgraded to the 600 today. So what is not flowering now might be later. Still though I dont know if you have ever flowered trees like this but some shoots just look puny. Should I just trim all these? Should I leave them? Should I trim whatever does not have buds or hairs yet at week three. Or should this never be done?

Help. This is my first time with trees, as opposed to a 1 ounce grow previously.

P.S. 600 lumatek rocks. GO lUMATEK!!!!!

Im a big fan of the trim man 3 weeks in is a bit sketchy but nonetheless if I didnt do a good enough job at trimming before flowering you will find me in there snipping a couple branches a day away. Good luck! Pics?

YES! prune the runt branches, and the fan leaf that sprouts from the node you are cutting.
you'll just get popcorn, and it will force more to the colas. I always do this up to week 4 flowering.

bump as I am sitting here looking at these three girls. They are three weeks in. Two have some monster nugs starting to form all over their tops and the other is getting there a little behind. It has a lot of sativa to it. So anyway I am looking and under like a foot of growth their is nothing forming yet.

AHHHHH, Should I trim these and get my bigger top buds and a foot of budded stalk or take my chances and let it all bud and hope for at least gram nugs. I dont know how big they go, it is my first attempt at trees. Also they are obnly under a 600 watt for a few days now, it was a 400 before that.

anyway any advice?

take a few away a day..hell try ur thumb at cloning..they will revert..elsewise the very bottoms that dont get a lot of light, like mentioned will be popcorn trim...the side branches that stay are the 1's that have caught up with canopy height...

yeah I never understood what would be the problem about popcorn unti I had to trim them on my last grow. What a pain, I felt like tossing branches. And those were one ounce plants! I cant imagine on these big girls in seven gallons what I will have.

I just dont want to stunt them or worse hermy.

just take a few of the skimpy ones on a daily basis over the week..i doubt it'll shock them in2 anything other than forming fatt nugz in a last ditch effort as they know life is about to cease

I have judt trimmed a bunch, pics soon, man I got a lot of little one inch branchs all over the bottom third. A lot cleaner. Now lets just hope that they all transfer to the colas and upper nugs.

With my veggers now I am keeping it simpler. Some my girls in flower have like 8 colas. Way to much work under their. On 2 of my veggers I used uncle bens advice and the other 2 will be stay lst plain and simple. Weird I am having some fun waiting for this one girl to catch up.
