600 WATT or 400 WATT FOR GROW?!

whats up everyone. i just finished up with my cfl grow and ive moved on to finally getting myself a hps system. im basically setting up a shower/ bathtub ( the one with the curtain you pull back to get in)as my little grow room. just wondering if i should go with the 400W or the 600W.

i cant find my measuring tape right now, but im pretty sure its just a standard bathtub.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

with todays electronic ballast, this is a choice that can be made with the flip of a switch, and be sure to swing by the 600 watt club when you get her all hooked up , gl!

Use whatever lighting that works for your air extraction/air temps where the end result is that the temps do not climb over 27 degrees celcius at any point during the lights on period. That will depend on where you live and how cool you can keep your grow room.

alrighty so the consensus is a dimmable 600W . sounds good to me. as for the temps, ive got a pretty gigantic fan + the bathroom ventilation so i think ill be okay. if not, im pretty sure ill figure it out. haha


here a couple pics of my outdoor grow. if anyone wants to guess the yeild, that would be great. first time growing outdoors.

Looking gansta and sounds great. I had 2 400 watters running with no exaust in a 8x6 ft bedroom closet with no problems. I am currently vegging 4 plush berries 1 did not crack, 1 female 8ball kush and 6 clones of bubba kush all vegging under 400 watts, moving bubba to 1000 watt next week!
