600w 4x4 HydroHut Silver Edition Grow With Multi Strains

Well,

I know it's been a few days since I was supposed to update this thread. I got bad news guys...

Powdery Mildew ...... ......

Thankfully it just showed up on a few plants and it was at least this close to harvest.

So as is there are 9 plants left in the tent now. I was so pissed off, I didn't even want to take pics of the other plants. I'm sorry guys.

I just wanted to cut down the ones that had it and do my best to keep it from happening to the rest and come back home.

What really pisses me off is it was my fault 100%. I had been there on the 17th, before I left I was putting plants back into the tent and moved the Sentinels censor out of the way.

My dumb ass forgot to put it back before I zipped up the tent and went home. So there the poor plants were sitting in way higher humidity than what the censor said...for 3 days and nights.

It hit my Purple Krush (current avatar), my WOW (A), and the little struggling Pre 98'Bubba. There was just a small spot no bigger than a nickel on each plant. As far as I know once they have it...they have it. As far into flower as I am any kind of treatment (as far as I am aware) is out of the question.

I flushed the other plants and went home for the night. Yesterday, I went to the hydro store and bought some Green Cure or w/e. It's Potassium Bicarbonate mainly.

I treated all my little rooted/vegging cuttings with it.

Also, I picked up some Black Diamond (humic acids). One part of the GO nutrient line I didn't have...at the advice of some of my old hydro guys. I really think this is part of why I have such large pH up swings...into unsafe ranges.

If you look at the Black Diamond's instructions it says it can be used in soil/soilless mixes. Uhm...I'm in Coco and Perlite...isn't that a soilless mix?

These people own/run a hydro store?

Hopefully I have a happier update in a few days. I'm just still pretty bummed, those plants were gonna pack on a bit more for sure in the next week or two.

Yeah man, I looked over each branch of each plant as good as I could. I didn't see anything else. I am tempted to just lop them all down as a safety precaution really. I would then go through the tent with like 10% bleach solution and wipe out any remaining spores. I just want to see if I can let them go for another week at least (for flushing purposes).

That way I can start my left over seeds while I have clones in veg in the tent. Once the seedlings are big enough I'll throw them in the tent as well, veg them for a while...pick a few for mothers (from the vegged clones of course) and then flower the remaining clone and seed plants together. I am looking into a cabinet for mothers right now.

I hope to get a White Russian mom this time around..and a true female Purple would be nice.

The rest of plants look good, the Purple Extreme is showing some definite calcium issues. I'll fix that soon, right now I am more concerned with the mildew and getting ready for the next run. I am pretty sure I am going to cut them all down earlier than I thought because if this shit...

I am very interested in this, could you please take some pictures of the affected plants/bud. My humidity will be higher this grow so yeah. I have seen bud rot b4 but not sure about this. Im extremely sorry for your loss

Powdery mildew...it's pretty self explanatory bro. I can't take any pics for you because I have already lopped the plants up that were infected. One quick search in google will you all the pics you could possibly want though:

Mine wasn't even this bad yet. Still...I am not about to just let it sit around and have the chance to spread (which it can do overnight in the right conditions).

Why is your RH going to be higher this time around? Just more plants or what?

Yeah, I'm still pissed about it...but moving forward. All I can do really. I still have 9 plants up anyway.

I also have 21 rooted clones (starting to grow like mad), and like 40 seeds left. So yeah, plenty to keep going on for a bit.

Another member/friend of mine just found out for sure one of his Cream Soda OG Kush babies is indeed a female...as well as a Romulan.

I have been told I can get some cuttings when they are old enough.

Speaking of, as soon as he is done with his current grow..we are going to go ahead and do the perpetual grow I mentioned before. Stoked about that for sure. One of the reasons I need to start construction on a mother/clone area ASAP.

I gotta convince him to do a joint grow journal with me.

Well damn, sounds like you got alot to keep you up and busy for awhile. I cant wait till i get my clones up and running, harvesting every two weeks is gonna be so so sweet.

I am the only person i know of doing indoor around where i live, plus where i live people are mostly old. Old people dont like to start learning new things haha.

My friends are to lazy to actually do this, good for me, just wish i had someone to go rob some clones or fem seeds off of lol

Yeah, buddy of mine just informed me a few days ago he has a ton of BubbleGum seeds. Makes me wanna take a trip back up to NorCal something fierce.

I have a handful of friends up there that grow. They may not be as legal as I am (far from it actually), but man do they have some nice genetics just lying around.

Great thing is, with that particular cirlce of friends if they hand me something and say it's BlueBerry...I know it's BlueBerry. Wish I could say the same for some of the "compassion" clubs around here in Socal.

So im growing it EXPECTING it to be a mom doner, bet i will get it ready, pull clones and they will all b males lol.

Mine will be higher because im growing in a enclosed room this time. No door just a slit in the panda film and some zip tarp. im pretty sure I can keep my rh around 50ish in flower. so hopefully thats not to moist. my shit was in the 80's in veg.

50% - ish is good man. You should be fine. Just don't let it sit above 60% for lengthy amounts of time and you should be fine. You don't have a dehumidifier? I still need to get one myself honestly. I have just been using my intake/exhaust system to deal with RH. It kicks on every 5 - 10 minutes and runs for about 1 minute. Was working great until my little human error with the sensor.

Well, got a text message last night. WOW (b) is now showing mildew. My girls are infected and it's only going to keep jumping from plant to plant.

I think I should just hack them all down now. What do you guys think? I was only going to let them go till like the 7'th or the 10'th anyway. So I am not that far away really.

Also, I have at least given them one flush with some FloraKleen a few days ago. The rest of what I add is organic (nute wise) so I am not too worried about taste issues honestly.

The greentea I lopped early didn't even have a flush, and I can only barely taste a bit of something odd when I take a random hit here and there (its still curing too).

I'd just rather have some premi bud than have to throw it all out. What do you guys think?

Sorry to hear that, friend - I'd say 100% just chop 'em and cut your losses.

As you said, PM is the herpes of weed - once a plant has it, it always has it.

Chop 'em and then sterilize the fuck outta the tent and surrounding room.

Yep thats what I thought too. Right now it has not affected any flowers yet, so I am lucky I caught it this early on. It's just on one leaf mid way up the plant. Just like how the other ones started. I will indeed be doing as much sterilizing as I can Bob. I have already treated my now vegging plants with a fungicide. I will continue to do so as long as possible as well.

So, I guess all thats left to wrap this thread up is harvest pics (and a dry weight count). Which I will go ahead and snap pics today while I am cutting them all down/pre trimming. Then it's sterilizing the tent, treating the clones again for fungus, and I think throwing some vegging plants into the hut.

I'll post the new journal thread when I start it.
