They got roasted a little bit, no big deal - live and learn.

And if that's 1/4 strength nutes, that shit you're using must be hotter then hot - why not Promix or another non-nuted soilless mix?

Yeah, shit happens I guess. Ive known from the start this grow was going to be different than any other, but I have already explained that.

Just going to move on. All I can do really.

As far as 1/4 strength, no no...I upped from 1/4 to 1/2 strength and THEN they burned. I figure they have been growing in this stuff since day one, I figure I should finish them out in it. IDK, I may actually just drop them into something different soon (for flowering).

I may actually just drop them into CoCo now that the store I go to actually HAS it. I would hate to see this kind of crap happen during flower. :finger: Over Fert issues...

sweet i will be watching this grow. looks good!!!!bongsmilie
Glad to have you on board. I wish they looked a bit better...damn nute burn is so ugly.

So, I am trying to decide here. I have 34 plants in a 3x3 tray. Most of them are around 10 - 12 inches tall or so. My hut is 7 ft tall and the tray stands about 1 1/2 feet off the ground. I have an air cooled 600w (by a 6 inch vortex) so my plants should be able to get within 16 inches or so of the light I think.

Plants are growing into each other pretty bad now and I havent even started flowering (might tomorrow now that buring etc has stopped, we shall see). So, I am wondering, should I lollipop them to get more space between plants (and take clones at the same time of course) then train them through a net if they start getting too tall.

OR should I top them, wait another couple weeks then flower and just let them bush into each other down below. (be a damn jungle for sure)

OR, should I do both? Top them, wait a couple weeks then lollipop/take clones before flower? Think that would be too much hacking away at them?

Suggestions please, I am going over to see them tomorrow again...so I'd like to try and make up my mind before then. :eyesmoke:

I'd top them, for sure.

2 votes for topping..ok. That will open up the plants and let light hit the bottom growth...so I will experience more bushing then. You guys think I can try and keep all 34? I am a bit of a liar here. I have 28 in the 3x3 tray and 6 in a smaller single row tray...but still. Or do you think I am going to have to thin down my plant count as well?

Lollipopping is when you cut off the bottom 1/4 to 1/3 of growth. So that plants focus more on growing heavier tops and upper branches instead of focusing energy on lower foliage. I was thinking about doing that so I sould have more room between plants since the bags are literally CRAMMED together.

However, as my post in your thread height is a cause for concern..so thats why I am debating on what to do. You suggested a Scrog before...maybe I should top them and go with a scrog from there?

Thoughts?

Take a look at my posts in the past couple of days (my journal), should probably assist in your decision making.

well lets do some math/thinking here...how old are your plants?"sorry i dont feel like reading back im stoned!"..you said there in one gallon bags rite?.. "28" on a 3x3 table? if there 4 weeks old ur gunna wanna transplant asap...good rule on thumb is 1 gallon per every month of growth...so ur gunna want like atleast 3 gallon pots and start to flower asap...3 gallon pots in the 4x4 room.."get rid of the table" u would be able to fit a decent amount...i doubt 28 though..i have 3 gal. pots..i'll see if i can figure out how many can fit in the hut! :)

Rock on Gnome. Lets see...sprouts popped on 10-29-09...today is 12-15-09. Plants are about 6 weeks old. They have been in these bags for nearly a month I think. Transplanted them into 1 gal bags (out of 6 inch CoCo net cups) on like 11-21-09 if I remember correctly.

Get rid of the table? Damnit. What if I just found some tubs that were 6 inches shorter? I think I found some the other day, just need to go back and take actual measurements. If I put my plants on the floor then I am going to have to clean up water from the floor all the damn time.

i know dude i was thinkin the same thing!..its gunna be a pain in the balls to water!!!..i was thinking of just buying a 4x4 table for my hut but the expensive as fuck!..im just gunna ghetto fab somthing some day..u should try the same thing, cause if u still wanna use ur 3x3 table u wont be able to fit as many big pots into it..

EDIT:

i just checked those pots..u can get 25 3 gal. pots in the tent..but there all touching..or u can do 16 slighty spaced plants...if u keep the 3x3 table ur not gunna be able to fit half that many!..

I have been trying to figure something out that will keep them off the floor but allow me to run a drip to waste system. Shit...I guess I could drop them onto the floor and suck up the waste water with a Turkey Baster...done it with smaller grows (like 4 plants) but damn...34?! Not gonna fly.

4x4 Tray expensive? I just found one for like $95 to my door man.

I mean, if you want the stand and res..yeah bit pricey. However I have my tray on a couple of rubbermaids that act as a res and the other as a drain/waste.

By the way Gnome, I would be transplanting into 3 gal bags. They are square, so they can pack together to where there is literally NO empty floor space. Also a good reason to switch this to a Scrog. I was thinking that maybe I could set up my drip system around the inside perimeter of the tent. I could set my timer to water and control the flow (with tweaking of course) and maybe minimize the build up of water on the floor.

Also, I have had these plants in a soiless CoCo mix as you guys know. I want to get the hell out of this stuff (for a couple reasons) and into some 100% CoCo. Do you think the plants will handle that well? Or should I just stick with what I have had them in?
