1) Hydroton is nice, but it is not enough to start seeds or clone in.
2) Pool noodles are AWESOME as starters, but not by themselves.
3) Perlite and Vermiculite are AWESOME when it comes to fogponics. Seeds sprout in two days, root growth thrives, but it is messy.
4) I don't think that many nutes are transferred in the fog, so having a drain, and being able to soak the growing site with nuted water helps. I do this every other day or so, and seems to be doing alright. If I don't do this, the plants grow real yellowish, or a thin light green.
5) The excess fog is FANTASTIC for other plants in the grow tent. My organic plants started thriving, and so did my bonzai... all from the added humidity.
6) 2 ultrasonic foggers use about 3 gallons of water in a 24 hour period. any less than 2 foggers and the roots dont get enough moisture.
7) DO NOT TURN OFF THE FOGGERS DURING DARK PERIOD. Even for an hour, your exposed roots WILL dry out.
