Ive built my bud/ flowering room and it has dimensions as following:

175 cm high
145 cm wide....

I put a 600w hps lamp in it, but the plants are about 30cm or so close to it. It feels kinda hot when i put my arm under the lamp, so i ask what is the MIN. distance between the plants and the lamp?

-the lamp has no cooling at all but im planing to put 2x small pc vents to cool it down so the temp wnt be that hot...

Hold your hand under the light at canopy height if it's hot to your hand it is hot to your crop.
I don't know what a cm is but my light sometimes is 21'' away from top of plants.
Running a small fan across the top helps.

well i can hold my hand under the light w no problem - few inches above my plants below the light, if that means the heat wont harm my plants then im good :)
PS: will they grow more in height when they are put to flowering, or they just grow more bushy?

TYVM! :)

im short on cash for now- invested all i had in seeds and equipment to start growing, but will do in the future!

I just put 10 plants to flowering, and got 12 more that are growing + young white widow that sprouted few days ago, so il make some cash from these plants i put to flowering to buy better equipment for WW.

Im still learning, so better to fuc* up (hope i wont!) with these "no name" plants than put to waste my WW....

what do you have in place for ventilation? You have a decent size box, but 600hps in there is going to get hot as hell if you don't have enough vent

-in flowering room for now i have only 1 vent that blows from below in the plants. (ordered 1 more and 2x small "pc vent" for cooling the lamp).

Also i have a window that is always opened a little so fresh air comes inside...

Thats it for now, til i get some more cash and build a real ventilatd room. Planing to buy 1 vent to suck air out, with a filter, and 1 vent to blow fresh air inside at the bottom of the room so i will have very good air circulation. Only problem is money atm .-(

To answer your question about height during flowering.....depending on the strain your plant will double in size. I hope you have room for that.

I just hope they wont double in height since they are now about 1m long. I know its my fault i didnt put them earlyer to flowering, but i just got the right lamp yesterday... :-/

Two pc fans can never be enough to exhaust the heat of a 600 watt light in that space. You also need a filter. You don't want to get caught. Safety first.

Go to your local grow store and see if they have used or display fans for sale. My friend got a display 6inch 400 cfm inline fan for $40 retail is $135. It cant hurt to try. Good luck

when triggered into flowering they can grow up to 30% (up and out) more in the first 2-3 weeks (depending on strain) , then they stop and put energy into bud formation. Its safe to assume an additional 6-8" in height

General rule is put your hand at the tops of the plants lower the light until the back of your hand starts to feel uncomfortable then airse it 4 inches up and your more then fine. I usually have my unvented open reflector lights about 10 inches from the tops with a 600 watter. As to height it depends on strains. If its a sative figure from the day it goes into flower it will triple or more in height. If it is indica then it will double or more. Hybrids follow the dominate gene. So if you have a staive plant thats 1 meter at day 1 flower by harvest figure it will be 3-4 meters high so about 9-12 feet tall and if its pur indica figure in the 5-7 foot area. I ususally put my indica that are in 4x8x8 foot tall tents into flower at about 12-14 inches to get plants that are roughly 2-3 feet plus 18 inches of pot height and 12 inches of light space. That leaves me about 20-24 inches of play room with the light height if they spurt.

It sounds like your not in the US but cheap fans here can be found at Home depot simple 200cfm inline fans cost about $25 ther and $3 for cord to cut off and wire on to it.

Ty all for ur input, and yes; im not from US, but Europe... Just looked at link lilroach gave me -i ordered that exact fan yesterday and in my country the price for it is almost double :-/
Anyhow... today is the 2.nd day of flowering my plants are put to and i noticed 2-3 plants have a bit burned fan leaves on tops. Since i do not have the fan yet (waiting to arive) i moved the plants a bit aside so they are not directly under the stong light/heat. I think it will be better to receve a bit less light than to get burned.

Aaand yes, i hate u all that live in US and have all the grow stuff cheap and easy to get. xD
