600w Indoor 4x4 Tent

Things are looking good.

You should have no problem slowly lowering your light schedule and personally think that's a pretty good option. I would transplant the SCs into the 5gal pots as soon as possible. Don't wait for them to be root bound before alleviating the problem but instead set it up early so their tap roots have an opportunity to grow straight and penetrate deep.

If you need a recommendation on a single flower nute I would recommend floranova bloom. Pretty complete as a stand alone.

Okay so at some point my temps peaked at 86. Ouch. Did a little re-vamp, shortening my duct runs, repositioned fans, and crossed my fingers. I really didn't/don't want to buy another higher cfm in-line fan. There really is no reason for my tent to be 86 when 8 x 15 room its in is 66. Fingers crossed, I'll know in a couple more hours.

Did a trim-out removing all broad sucker leaves. This really opened up the bushy strawberry coughs. But get this, today my HPS bulb took a dump on me. An hour into light and 30 minutes before the hydro store closes. Made a quick call and she not only stayed 5 extra minutes but gave me a free replacement. Got back home and everything is running. +rep hydro lady:hump:

Pics tomorrow or Friday so check back.

Free bulb, cool. Hope you can figure out the heat situation. Is your filter running on the same fan?

The way I'm set up is I got 3 vents in the tent. One in the back top left side. one on the back top left of the TOP of the tent (this one is bent at an elbow coming into the tent and one on the left bottom side of the tent. Through the vent in the back of the tent I have the exhaust duct that comes out from my hood (got a 440 cfm fan with the carbon filter on this).Through the vent on the bottom left side I have my power cords running though. On the outside of the tent I then have a 120ish cfm fan blowing air (hopefully cooler since I put an A/C unit in the window a couple days ago). I think this might be the issue, since the fan is 6 ft off the ground the air may not be cool enough that high off the floor to actually matter.

Having said that I think I came up with another tweek that might help. if I run the power lines through the vent in the top and put the 120 cfm inline on the bottom left side I might be able to draw colder air since I will only be a few inches off the floor. I hope this makes sense, I am not sure exactly how I need to have my tent set up and have gone though 3 or 4 different arrangements. Still learning from everyones comments here.

Let me know if you think this will help or if it even makes sense. Puffed before I saw this hit. As always thanks for coming by.

Well, I personally think if you ran your carbon filter on a separate fan it would help a lot. I plan to run a 4in. 200 CFM inline attached to a 4in. carbon filter. Then, I'll have a separate fan strictly for exhausting my light (530 CFM), may be too much but I do not want any heating problems, like my last run.

And, yeah, that could help, any way you can think of I say give it a try.

I thought about adding ducting to one of the household vents and getting a decent booster fan and running it up to blow directly to my light. Would have to make something to block the hole or use a flange or something. I don't know though, whatever best suites your needs. Anyone else got a cost efficient way for him to solve his heating issues?

Quick update. So I weighed out the options and ended up getting a 5,000 btu A/C today. I figured it was six to one half dozen the other. 100 bucks for the A/C, 100 bucks for another 400 cfm fan so I could run one for the light and one for the filter. Cleaned up the hookups to the tent with 6 inch ---> 4 inch fitting. Trying to make things as clean looking as possible. I am able to drop the temps to something like 63 even after 6 hours or so into the light cycle. Running on 4 low at the moment. Temps 77ish. Peace of mind, finally. Pictures are actually from yesterday, so diff A/C now. Cleaned up how the ducting from the small inline fan connects to the A/C. Also transplanted the strawberry coughs into much larger pots. I'm dropping the lights to 14/10 starting monday. Thats about all for now guys, I took some nice video tonight after work thinking I could upload that, but fail. More pics soon. Still haven't implemented the molasses, double fail. Progress, not perfection.

Congrats on fixing the heat issue. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the continual comments and keep stopping by. If you got an email n care to see the video I couldn't upload the other night I'd be happy to email it if you sent it to me. Private message would probably be best instead of on the thread though, you might get some odd emails. heh

I havent read through yet but just wanted to say that it looked like a few of your smaller plants are too close to the light. It might be a good idea to move them.
I'll read through in a few :peace:

edit: never mind. I did't see the last set of pics! oops. Looks good.

I believe I did some more adjustments since those pics, that was like 3 or 4 days ago now. I just checked the temps and took a measurement. 78.3 and the light is just under 1 foot above the top of the autoflowers. Is that too close do you think?

Edit: New pics by Monday night, but I hope tomorrow.

Temps sound good... Just under a foot sounds ok, I try to make sure my plants are getting close to even amounts of light. Just my 2c

^^agree^^...and no problem 600, glad to be here.
(man my grow year is off to a late start...still got 2-3 weeks before I can begin)

Alright guys, as promised heres some pictures. Only took pictures of the autos that actually have something to "look" at. Was rushed taking the pictures, between finals week at school and work I haven't had the chance to do a nice photo op. Hopefully around Wednesday or Thursday I should have some time to take them out of the tent and get nice photos of each. Today was the last day of 16/8. I will be dropping to 14/10 starting tomorrow.

will the autos still do well under 14/10 or 12/12?

It is my understanding that the ideally autos like between 18/20 hours of light. The autos have had a solid 2+ weeks of 18/6 and just got through 1 week of 16/8. I think with the gradual drop in lights I won't see much effect. I will be interested to see how this works though. This is due to poor planning. I truly didn't believe the SCs would look as good as they do. Stay tuned and see if I made a mistake. heh

Will be great to see the results of your autos then. Other than that, they're looking good. Can't wait to see the dry weight from them.

Had some time after class today so I took the opportunity to do some glam shots of my girls :weed:. The first few pictures are of the SCs and then there are 2 shots of each auto. The first being a full plant shot and the second being a shot with a couple leaf spreads to see better.

My AK-47 auto has some yellowing of the leaf tips, those are the last couple shots. I got her off to the side in the tent now (my initial thoughts were its burning from the light). I am not experienced enough thought to give this a positive ID on the problem though, so if you know something don't hold back on me.
