61 Days into Flower with T5 lighting "What do you think"

Beautiful girls you have.

I'm trying to decide between a T5 setup or a a 400W HPS/MH. Have you had any experience growing under HID lights? If so, which do you think is overall a better system to use?
 
18 days from flipping from 18 /6 to flower 1000 watt hordilux super blue MH/and HPs in one

plants look good. i am also using a 4 foot 8 bulb t5 fixture for vege, your bulbs in one pict look to be the blue bulbs. did you use those to flower or did you switch to red? how long did you vege for? i will be using 1000w hps to flower, have 16 strains going in 24 pots with 24 clones right behind in a 4x4 tent. i know its a lot for one tent but im keeping my plants small. was wondering about t5 flowering bulbs, what peoples experince and yeild is with them.
 
Looks fantastic! I would check the trichs again (if you do it by taking samples use a white background, once made a mistake reading them because I had it on a wood table.)
 
I advise that because he is using T-5s ( doubt buds will swell) and 61 days plus 7-9 days = 10 weeks of 12/12, also there is more thc content in clear trichs than cloudy and certainly amber trichs.

Idid have a grow last year with a 1000w system had to run my a/c for temps but it did great ,i wanted to see how a complete grow with T5 lighting would do yes i have the red spectrum bulbs in for flowering ,I know the 1000w system gives you more quantity not so sure about quality YET?? i vegged 41days from a seed sprout Power Skunk,It was 17 inches tall from soil to tip top. they are 36 inches tall now i did top them right before flower time.cant answer your yeild question yet this is first grow and not finished so stay tuned will post more pics and numbers at the end .Happy Farming ,Cajun
 
My 2 cents, wait till you see at least some amber trichs and check them against a white background as was said. I do not agree there is more thc in clear trichs than milky, never heard that till now. When there are some amber trichs, there will still be some clear ones too, there were for me. So you will not be over done or anything.
 
I agree with the clear trichs. My research has shown that you have the highest THC content at the time the Trichomes begin to change from vlear to amber. I would personally rather pick it a hair early as opposed to a hair late. It will mature while it hangs as well

You're right, and I can't believe some of the shitty advice given out around here.

You can agree all you want, but you are both dead wrong. And the trichs go cloudy before they go amber...
 
Better do your homework. Clear trichs ( just before cloudy ) have more THC than amber. Amber is the trich degrading and leads to more cbd. So if you have an indica growing, sure amber trichs are what u want, but if u have a nice sativa or haze, amber is a no no.

im doing my 2nd t5 grow, and this time i supplemented it with 4 x 6500k cfls, and 2 2700k cfls, and a 75watt 2foot walmart grow light cheap dealy. just about3 or 4 weeks into veg. so far so good, liking it
