Here's the current opp.

Sun System 630w LEC
4x4 Light House Hydro tent
6 inch Black Opps filter
6 inch Hurricane in-line fan
Roots organic soil in 5g Root Pouch bags

6 plants from clones of my last run
5 Chocolope
1 Jack Herer
Just transplanted today 2/13

I still need a bigger fan then the 1 (6in) clip fan thats in there temps are around 82° still on a veg cycle.

I'm no pro. Any help/info/suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

I wanted to have 3 more plants in there but this is what i got. My veg tent is still being used to flower these girls, moms. They are comming down next week.
Im stoked it definitely covers the area.

Just veg a little longer and they'll fill that tent wall-wall no problem. Interested to see the outcome, coverage in a 4x4 should be awesome, I use 2x 315 units to cover off as much as 3x7 so this should be pretty intense coverage.

I'm going to try and veg for a few weeks before switching over.
I wanted to fill it out like that guy w/the johnson cx 9! You know i was looking at all those lights before i got this. I think what i got will do just fine and it was almost $400 cheeper.

This is a semi perpetual grow. Im going to take the summer months off and try to do 2-3 runs a year. Just keeping mothers in my other tent year round. It gets too hot and humid where i am. I dont have an ac in the room where the 4x4 is.

Yeah hear you there, summer here gets into 90's and constant high humidity. I can manage temps but humidity can get high if I run more than 25gal of medium in the room. I may just run a couple of large 10gal through mid summer and a couple of larger outdoors.

They had a bit of calmag dif, but i added lime to the new soil before transplant. That was 2 days ago. They look a little sad today. Im not sure if its from the transplant, new light or what....

LIKE TO SEE THE 630 WATT!! i ran 2 then 3 315 watt lec lamps over a 4ftx6ft table with great results.. 630 watts over a 4x4 is ALOT of light. you could easily cover a 4ftx6ft area with it and get over a gram per watt..dont forget plants finish faster under the lec spectrum so you can cut a week off your flowering times..i like that many of us are switching to ceramic lamps, way more efficient. i cant wait to see how this goes,, you can check out my lec grow at

im on my last run with hps, no way will this run yield what i had under the 3 315's, plants are taller under the hps but the lec lamps covered my area way better.. looking good! be well and grow well

i have had NO heat problems with the lec's, 1 1k hps or 2 600 watt hps's in my room require air cooled hoods vented out my house. but running 3 open 315's get me more light with way less heat.. my room is on a thermostat with 1 600 cfm intake and 1 700 cfm exaughst and since ive switched to lec they rarely ever kick on,, maybe once a day if ever,,lately everytime im in my room i turn them on manually just to get fresh air in and expell old air, i may switch from the thermostat to a timer at this point...

Same here.

I've considered adding HPS just for the heat, lol

It's 17° out and dry even though its snowing a little. My temps are reading between 77-82 at the canopy and 88 in other parts of the tent. I haven't moved the light. Its about 30 something inches from the canopy. Humity is low, in the 20's i just put a humidifier in the room where the tent is. I'm just trying to do my best with my experience. I think once the girls realize they been transplanted and got some cal now, they will look better. I've only been running for a few days, im still tring to dial in.

Have you noticed if you have a fan blowing on your bulbs they act funny? The second day i had my little 6inch fan blowing near the lights and one looked to burning more blue. I moved the fan and it kicked on full strength...

i have the boulder lamp co's lec's, i have 1 20 inch osilating standing fan, and then 2 16 inch wall mount osilating fans that blow air all around my lec hoods with no problems.. i am really impressed with the gram per watts im getting with these lights. 945 watts or 3 315's pulled over 1200 grams and covered a 6ft by 6ft area with all 3 lamps inline over the center. over the next few runs i plan to move the hoods in different locations to see if coverage is any better. however 3 315's can easily cover a 4x8ft table or possibly more. i really like your 630 watt, what are the dimentions of the hood? my 315 hood is 22inches wide by 18 inches long, with 2 bulbs under 1 hood i would hope the hood is way larger.. also what is the suposed coverage of the 630 watt say at 2ft above canopy? i could easily cover my 4ftx6ft table with 2 315's and yield 800 grams,, i wonder if the 630 watt hood would spread the light as well as 2 1 lamp hoods?

It's 32lbs. 31x 21.5, 10in tall

Here are the par readings at 24 inches, 4ftx4ft. (See pic)

Im sure it could cover 5x5.
I can tell you in the past 4 days or so the girls been under there i can see the new pre-flowers are 3x bigger then when they vegged under t5's.

It runs cool. I have the 120v. I wish it woulda came with a longer cord, its like
4-5ft. Im excited about the uva&uvb and added green spectrum. Crazy amount of lumens and usable light.

You definitely could spread it it out more with 2 315w's, but i'm limited by the tent the 630w blankets the area with no real spike in the middle at 24 inches when graphed. If i get 1.5gpw, with is totally doable, it would be 945grams. I think this light could replace a 1000hps. With the heat of a 400hps or less and less power at the wall.

Yeah I second the idea they should make these units with a longer cord, will be running two 315's in a 4x4 shortly, one bulb will be a 210w.

It would be cool to see a side by side with a 1000w hps but why bother fighting the heat and wasting electricity when you have something more efficient?

They look super wilty in ur first pic. Were they like that before? Healthy clones that age wouldn't wilt on a transplant. Were they bone dry?
2 of them had calcium deficiency pretty bad. This was a day after the transplant. They perked up a bit since then. They had been in .5 gal pots for a while. I'm still learning... i want my plants to be as healthy as possible. 1 of the mothers kinda looked scraggly like the two on left side of the pic.
