ouch, wow i already bought a regular 1000w but now im really considering the electronic 600w ballast. i have 2 closets, 1 have a mother plant in in a seperate tank and also an aeroponic cloner that i built. my other closet is my flowering closet which holds 18 plants, right now im just waiting on my clones so i can start flowering.

im not sure if i did the math right but with a 600w, it would be 25.92, which i would find reasonable on top of 70$ for a 1 person apartment. would a 600w on a light rail be enough for 18 plants?
its in a closet with a squirrel cage, and fake mylar covered walls. i also plan on using the diy co2 kit. smell wouldnt be too much a problem because i have no one that would ever be invited over and blueberry just smells delicious.
Yes correct. The cost would be $25.92 per month. A light rail would be beneficial for 18 plants. I believe the rail is about 6 feet. You should get the light rail 3.5 which has 10 revolutions per minute. :peace:

I'm venting with a 10inch fan through a charcoal filter and ozone generator, into my heating duct. I hope I wont have a issue with smell, or have to live with too strong of a ozone smell in the place. Any opinions on this?
(I will update the intake and exhause system with pics, when it's done.)

Nice setup mate, but!!! You are freakin me out man! Do you know safe indoor exposure levels to ozone? CO2? Is the furnace of line? I'm in the IAQ indoor air quality field and you can not safely discharge ozone or co2 into your living environment. In CA all ozone generating air purifiers are about to get pulled of the market due to ozone having such adverse health effects. An ozone generator produces far higher levels of ozone then ozone air purifiers. Two of my co-workers entered a home once that was under ozone (fire restoration), needless to say, one was vomiting and both were caughing the rest of the morning. Contact time under 5 min. (lots of science, google it) Anyhow, don't want to be preaching here, you got a nice set up, but you will have to vent differently (not a big deal btw) if you want to be healthy when your plants drop fruits:mrgreen: And don't think that because you do not feel something immediately it's ok, the effects are accumulative as well.

Good luck!

Thanks also for the info, i will see how bad the smell is and go from there.

Might have to just use lots of ozone air purifier's.

Thanks....

What I am having a hard time visualizing is how you are going to fit them all in the screen. Sounds like a ton of weaving too. But after looking at billybob's scrog I bet if you can do it, it will be well worth it.

I have a question.. How did you get all the PVC and stuff into your apt without the whole complex seeing you carry it in ?

After five days they are bustin out with some roots! I'm going to veg one more week then start flowering. Some of clones are smaller, because they where shocked pretty bad... hopefully they will still yield decent.

My moms that im now going to flower are 4ft tall so that will compensate for the shocked clones.

later.....

Come on Grow girls grow!!!

PPM's are now at 900 I will go up 100 ppm's a day until 1,100. Then stay ther until flower. And go up from there.

I'm using

Botanicare pro grow (veg food)
Roots Organics extreme serine (Kelp)
Hygrozyme (root growth)
Trinity (growth booster)

They are putting on about an inch of growth a day now. I'm only running 2 600 watt bulbs of the 8 total for veg.

make sure you use a dehumidifier in your room. you will have mold and smell issues otherwise. you need to keep the humidity below 55% or your charcoal filter will not work. also, keeping the temp in the low 70's will keep the smell from being an issue. good luck man. dont get caught with that energy draw.

the best solution is an ac/dehumidifier. since a dehumidifier is the same thing. just look for the combo ones on line. this will solve both problems. you will have major heat issues if you dont have an ac unit- thats a lot of heat your going to be producing. stinky.

two 600 watt lamps wont cause an alarm for energy usage & by the time he starts to flower with the full 8 the grow will be done before anyone raises their brow. :hump:

Thats's what I hope. I want to start flowering this weekend. Some of the clones that got shocked are lagging so I might give them a few extra days to catch up before flowering.
