i agree that a mini split is no way going to cover all the dehumidifying for that room. i also had to get an industrial dehumidifier because the 2 small ones sucked and produced too much heat. i get about 20 gallons a day between the dehumidifier and the condensation the mini split gets.

ricky you arent going to get a mini split for 600 bucks unless your buying a used one. mine was 1600. get a good one, that works efficiently, that will save you on your electricity costs and a good one hopefully wont shit out on you. 4 lights is way more efficient in that sized box. over killing watts just makes the gram to watt ratio further apart making bills harder to pay.

let me say this as ive said to like 6 people this week on this website that dont listen. if you dont have co2, or a fresh air exchange, your choking your plants, no matter what you do, you will NOT do well. so if you decide that you dont want to do co2 the first run.. you need some sort of fresh air exchange and im not talking about the air cooling your lights.

a tip... get co2 and dont waste putting holes in your area that your going to have to seal after one run. if you dont have the funds, dont start yet. i skimped on co2 for 2 runs and choked my plants and it was the most miserable top ramen eating 6 months of my life. dont cheap out on something that your relying on.

As for my room. Idk why people have to think they know everything about everything... have you been inside my room? Have you seen my room? Have you had 6k watt room the same dimensions as mine? Do you even know the height of my room? You do not know any details to act as if you were there an seen a different temp in my room then called me out.

Clearly, the answer to all of which are retorical and also NO. Then stop replying to something as if your a god and know everything. Wtf this shit is not hard to comprehend. I said clear as day... i had the lights on without ac plugged up for 5 hrs yesterday. Highest temp on BOTH thermometers were 83*. Thats a thermometer under each set of 3 lights at the top of plants... if i let stay on for 8hrs or mabe even another hour then mabe temps went higher BUT I didnt and i said that i most likely i will need the 2 ac i bought. So why say i am lying and lying to myself? Even if it takes 6 hours time to get above 83* then who cares cause its 6hrs without ac having to run. Hell, my room taking even 3hrs to get up to dangerous temps would still be 3 out of 12 that no electric being used for ac.

Get over yourselfs please...

To the OP- sorry to side track your thread. In my experience if you have the room to build out more than use it and you wont regret it. More space for heat to travel and air to move, even though lights can be placed over same footprint you want. Goodluck.

I have a 6k room as well Sealed No Ac yet ~ My temp r about the Same ~ This Guy patrickkawi37 is Talking like He's some fucking Expert ~ W/ this set up I have been through 3 cycles W/ 5 gal pots 6-8oz a plant So ~ To Say your wasting yout time If you Don't Have CO2 Or AC is a Fucking Joke~ If your Not Growing your wasting your time. I Suggest You just do what you can upgrade as you go

have same set up in summer an not that hot here 24k BTU air con is on all time to keep temps at 27c thats with two lines of 3 lights with air cooled hoods to 1000w do put out so serious heat.

figured id post for the people who hate...

my room with the 2 portable ac units and 6kw yeilded 6.5 lb and didnt have any issues. since then ive changed it alot but figured id post to show nothing died like people claimed.
