6x 6.5 litre pots for 4x4 tent??

4x4 tent
600w didital ballast
6 pure power plants
6 6.5 litre pots

Im wondering if 6x 6.5 litre pots are big enough for a 4x4 tent or will I be loosing out on yield?
My plan was to put 9 plants down but some of my seeds didnt germinate.
Will I need to get bigger pots for the 6 plants?
Cheers

hmmm... a bit small, right now I have 6 clones in 6,5L pot`s and two Reg plants in 18L pot`s each, in a 3x4 space

could easily do 9 plants maybe even 12 if you grow clones/Auto`s or just keep the veg time short, but if 6 plant`s is what you go for I would suggest to go for some 12L pot`s as a minimum, healthy root mass = bigger yield

Yeah I was kinda thinking they were a bit small for only 6 plants... so if I get 6 12 litre pots how long would you suggest veging? Thanks for youre reply :)

I have a WILMA 20 (20 X 6.5lt Pots) and a WILMA BIG 9 (9 x 18lt Pots).
Both of these Wilma Models have the exact same size reservoirs - which are designed to fit snuggly into a 4 x 4 tent.

Why have just 6 x 6.5's when you can easily fit 20 in there....
Or even 9 x 18lts....?

6 small pots in a 16sq ft tent under 600w is a very inefficient use of space and energy.

If it was me I would probably do either 4 in 18L pot`s with a long Veg time/grown in to maturity (+7 week`s) with some Mlining or do 9 in 12L pot`s with a short Veg time (like 3-4 week`s)

Edit: start em out in Cup`s then use the 6,5L to Veg em in and then do a repot to the, Etc. 12L pot`s a week or so before you go 12/12
this will help prevent over watering, like it make em grow a nice root net for the center of the final pot

Well ive gone and bought x10 18 litre square pots, as I have 6 plants on the go at minute im gonna put 6 pots down in my 4x4 and top at about 5th or 6th node and veg them out to fill my tent... clone 9 off them and upgrade to a 1000w light with my next grow and a 1.5 x1.5 metre tent and put 9 in it :) thanks for all the advice, got me working in the rite direction

FWIW I'm running six 5 gal (19 L) pots in a 5X5. I grow short bushes and they fill the 5X5 completely.

That's 25 sqaure feet with 95 L soil or 3.8 L / square foot (or almost exactly 1G/square foot)

I've never thought of it this way before just now, and not sure if it's any valid "rule of thumb"

A lot would depend on how large you wanted to grow your plants regarding pot size.

Short bushes are what I like I did 4 5 gals my last grow but had to chow after about 5 weeks flower and salvage what I could as my landlord had to be in my flat.. gutted.. ill put a pic up if I can figure how to do it

I have 9 x 18lt square pots in my 4 x 4 tent.
A little pruning and it's all good.

If you're growing in soil remember to transplant to bigger pots graduallyor the root mass will be all sides and no centre.

If you're in some medium using Hydro then straight to big pots is OK,

Keep us informed, Tyson.
You've caught my attention and I want to follow your progress.
