Sounds like your on the right track so far man. Make sure to line the walls with mylar or something reflective other then foil.
Are you planing on veging clones while you flower the originals?
If not I dont see why you have two zones.
Be sure to be prepared to set up some side lighting. Most people overlook that with cfl's. I promise you it will be the best 40 or 50 dollars you spend in growing. You will get much fuller growth. I look forward to seeing your setup. You should post some pics later.

Good Luck Man

ps. What are you going to be doing about exhaust and such? thoughs lights are gonna make some heat.

Yes, Pandafilm out da ass! (What a pain to work with! got a 10'x25' sheet) And yes, going for an eight-week rotating harvest +/-. Still a little nervous about first cloning, but I'll get through it. Made a little Rubbermaid shoebox aerocloner. This is all in a pre-made 72" high x 48" wide x 20" deep Sauder wardrobe purchased at Menards for $70. The seedling/cloning area is 16"h x 16"d x 23"w - the veg and clone area height is adjustable (3 shelves and several pre-drilled holes for supports to fit into). There's also a 47"w x 13"h (I hung the 4x12 canfan filter and 90 deg elbow w/ 70-80ish cfm inline duct fan. Drilled 1-1/2" holes in a few spots around the back and sides for inlet. Also siliconed (Silicone, my caulk gun, and aluminum tape are my HOMIES!) 4 long skinny magic sliders on each side (main) support and 2 4" hexagon shaped magic sliders on the lateral supports - slicker than shit, moves with EASE! The CFL's will be hung independently, so fine tuning the light placement isn't a problem. Have a 6" clip on fan to hang from above and a little 4" steel desk fan to give some added circulation. Outside the wardrobe, or "Grobe" as I've become accustomed to calling it, I have a Brookstone Pure ION air cleaner with UV germicidal bulshit as well. As I said earlier, I'm going to start by growing Northern Lights. Do you think it will smell up the room outside the grobe with the setup I have? If anyone would care to give a good ballpark guesstimation as to the yield of the 4 plants? Probably going to flower 9-10 weeks (unless they get too dark, I like more of a "heady" high) so how long do you think I should veg. given the setup?

PS - In the 1st pic, ignore the contents of the cabinet - the bathroom fan got returned, and I've gotten a ridiculous amount of supplies etc in addition to what's in the pic.

PPS - Should I L.S.T.?

haven't purchased the 2700k cfls for flowering yet...............what about a 150 or 175 watt hps with a home-made cooltube?...............oh so fuckin high at 8 am

imo, you should go with a 150-250hps, dont spend the money on purchasing all those cfl's. High tech garden supply has hps starting at around 60 bucks. You could use the cfls for side lighting. By the way for a cabinet, its more effecient and productive to go with a sog set up.

seedlings are a couple inches tall now with their first set of "real" leaves......they're in 4 inch pots - i'm thinkin' like 50ml +/- every other day or so with 1/3 recommended strength big bloom. sound good, bad, ugly? - the foxfarm guide says to use 2 tablespoon/gal. - btw using distilled water, at least for now while they're so young
lemme know!

Sound like a decent deal? HTGSupply 150 watt HPS Grow Light + SuperNova Reflector + Suncourt 4" Inline Duct Fan = $193.98 Shipped - I've included a pic of the reflector - and just vent from the top with a 4" flex duct with about a 2' +/- str8 up with the duct fan at the end. Opinions?!

There is a 95$ HPS here.. not as good reflector though
i've got a SMALL - 23"w x 16"d x 53.5"h - i'm sure 150-175 watt with a vented reflector and a remote ballast is going to just about right on the money to keep the temps about where they need to be - believe me, when i move to my next apt, it'll be a larger place then i'll be able to double my flowering area and upgrade to a 400-600 hps. - or am i completely wrong?

I think you are right...
Ya..That is a rather small area, but I'm sure you can get 2-4 plants with the 175 if you do it right =D

also thinking down the road about using the cab for a sog or scrog or just LST the shit out of them and having the clones in one of the lower sections and cfl veg in the other lower section and having two flowering sections in the upper part - then the ballasts etc in the very top section with the carbon scrubber.....i have another cabinet i could use for a mother or two, but couldn't i just take a clone or two from each plant two weeks into veg and let them veg for another two weeks while waiting for the clones to take root?

ps - if i go with the 5 section setup, i'll prolly use one 150-175 hps for the last 4 weeks and use 2700k (red, flowering) cfls for the first 4 weeks of flower (keep the cfl side plants close to the light so to have some room underneath for the veg area and keep the clones under the latter 4 week HPS section)

would really like to get 3-4 zips every 4 weeks or so......am i dreaming?

shit, can't close the door without temps getting close to 90f !!!!!!!!!! - running 2 6 inch clip fans blowing down on the girls and only using 2 42 (real) watt CFL 6500k - 150 incand. equiv each - why the hell is it so hot in here?

sounds like you need to exchange the air get some air moving through the CFLs still put out heat just not like the HID.
IMO

figured out the problem - ambient air in the room was too warm - we had a couple hot days and the A/C hadn't been de-winterized so it got rather warm in the apt. - now that it's cooled off again, the temps are fine - guess i need to get the a/c ready for summer and keep it under 80 in the apt

To dinobelly (the guy who rags on everybody for everything): This is it? This is your grow? You started your first grow in the middle of 2008 in an apartment and you want to give everyone shitty little quips on their pages when they're asking for help? Look at my buds and then look at yours. You SUCK! You would think someone who is as openly homosexual as yourself would have a little patience and understanding for others in the rollitup community who are trying to increase their pot growing capabilities instead of insulting them as you do!
