So im building a 6x6 growroom it will have a 1000w hps and maybe an ac. I plan to have a 6in hurricane fan soon for exhaust. My troubles begin when i found there were no grounded pluge available being an old house. So i want to replace them with gfci outlets and maybe a gfci breaker (if needed) would 50amps be enough for all of that or should i go bigger. I may want to add a small veg tent on that breaker but it would be for a 400w hps and a small 8in booster fan setup. Any help is appreciated guys thanks.

50 amp subpanel divide by 2 20 amp breakers will give you 3,300 effective watts to play with.GFCI is mainly safety for short hazards near water. You can make your own ground by taking a 5ft copper grounding rod and pound it into the earth.Hook that rod to your subpanel with heavy gauge grounding wire.

You can just ground to your copper plumbing but I would check with an electrician for that.

50 amps will b more than enought run #10, 2 (depending on distance) romex wire from the panel to the position u want to feed. Use a 30 amp breaker insted. After u run the 10, 2 from the panel to the room install a 30 amp gfi that should resolve the problem peace
