Where is growspecialists GIF about this? Dude, the fan leaves supply the food the plant uses to produce Bud. You have cut off the food supply to the plant. It sounds logical to remove the fans that are blocking light to bud sites below them, but moving/tying them so that they get more light is a better solution.

ok see....we were very picky about how many to cut and which ones..........yes we had our attention on getting other parts of the plant more light but.....we only snipped the leaves as everything else filled in....see i understand what everybody trying to say but you gotta understand that this was a slow and steady process...we took our time and did not cut off all the fan leaves at once...we did it slowly over a week and a 1/2 period....i made sure other leaves were growing on the nodes first before we cut any fan leaves to ensure the plant would continue to grow well........i wish we had a better camera because it is truely a beautifle plant with purple on it and everything but ya i understood that somewhat from the beginning but like i said we had to do it now....our time is short and we didn't have many choices but wee we definetely try tying branches next year........thanks for the constructive critisism and the advice guys.............Much appreciated

i'm saying that the plant was in bad shape before because someone found it and broke it at the top and ripped off two main branches but thankfully left the plant.......we revived it and now its here....we wanted to bud it so the time schedule next year can be similar to this year but instead of skipping budding the plant this year we're gonna force it to bud early b4 its too cold out....so therefore we cut the fan leaves over a week and 1/2 period

they gona fall over if u dont stake them then bud rot so gay btw in outdoor shows dont take shit off not even the bottom crap as the plant will absorb nutrients and vitamins that get stored in leaves for bigger buds

ya i hear ya man...we knew that but we know its a weak plant so thats y we did this but theres the before and after pictures above...we know that this was not the common chioce or even the right one but we do know it was time to do it and we had to b4 winter or we would get nothing at all so thats my reasoning...i'm not sayin its right but thats my logic on it

trimming the leaves will have NO effect on the budding cycle. :-|
