7 + Weeks Flowering - No Trichomes

This is my first "real" grow. I'm nearing 8 weeks and there are NO trichomes. The seed that I used was from a good stash I had been saving. I do know the plant is Sativa (there is NO question about that). However, there are no trichomes appearing and the few that are there do not seem to be much.

The light that I am using is a multi spectrum 315 watt CFL light bank (for more info www.stealthhydroponics.com). The multi spectrum lighting system provides an unbelieveable 17,000* LUMENS!!.

MULTI SPECTRUM CONFIGURATION
Includes one 30K Spiral, one 41K Spiral and one 50K Tube style bulb. A multi-purpose variety of light spectrums. Can be used for both flowering and vegetative applications.

I have finger size buds all over and some of the hairs are turning. Can anyone help me.

My questions:

1.) Is this common (no trichomes this late)?

2.) What is the longest time frame for Sativa to flower?

if you had pics i could help but it seems like the lighting your using is just perfect for the plants. But however i need to know your lighting hours for your plant and how the lights are set to help any further

I'm using 11 hours on 13 off. Just started that roughly a week ago. Sorry the photo is not better camera does not do well with close ups. I'm aware of the yield issue I can face with this, but I need to finish this out soon (replacing with better seeds that I got from seed bank). This was experimental until I had a grasp on what I was doing. However, all has done well until this point.

Ya just cause it came from some good stash you had doesnt mean thats gonna be the same weed you smoked. You don't know where that pollen came from that made that seed so its hit or miss and looks like she is a miss....Unless its some crazy mexi sativa strain and flowers for 14 weeks or more but No trichs yet I don't know about that.
