Subscribed! Definitely want to see pictures of a grow setup with these. I have a 4x4x6.5 tent so who knows what the future may hold if this grow goes well ;)

Good luck!

Originally I was planning to go with (3)1k's in a 6x12 grow area, but due to few issues...changed of plan. But I gotta say, those two led deal were DIRT cheap, only paid 2600 shipped! 1300ea. :eyesmoke:. Anyways I wanted to test how well these light works. Should receive it within the next 2-3weeks.

*** just finished setting up the grow tent, will snap some pictures once the led are in!

price be damned, if i had some spare cash, i'd buy one for when i'd be flipping the girls into flowering, and then flower them out in two tents, half with your normal lights, half with the LED, and see what happens. if the yield is crap then jsut post it straight on back :) tempting!

yup, and that's exactly what i was thinking to do! Bad result = goodbye led. Well so far, got the 4x4x7 tent up with a 16' Eco oscillating fan. Debating if I should go with CO2 or not...this will be my first grow ever.

Still need to get

36site/40g res - Aeroflo2
TD150 6' Inline Fan - S&P
Carbon Scrubber 33 - Can Fan
Tri-meter
1/10 Chiller or frozen water bottle?

nah I say wait on the co2, it's dangerous and expensive. You want to see what a control crop with the LED looks like before you start messing with that. It's just one more thing to fuck up, esp on a first grow. And unlike most other things, if you fuck that up there is actually a chance you could kill yourself or other people
:fire:

Get the LED dialed in first, I say. Then figure out if you need it your next harvest.

one thing though. i rely on my HPS to give the cab realistic temperatures. else it just sits at a nice even room temp as opposed to outside temp (my room and as such cupbaord stay at around 18C 24/7 so the heat from the hps is very useful in giving the cab a warm "day" and a nice healthy drop in termpature at "night"

I like that tip top, most people just discredit them before seeing what they can do. Always gotta have an open mind to new tech :) sometimes it works out for the better sometimes it doesn't. But to discredit them before seeing what they can do is just dumb.

I'm going to have to agree with the majority. Majority rules.. remember? LED lighting.. especially when running the wattage you are using LED lights.. your going to pay more to run those lights.. than you would with CFL lights. You would be better off using CFL lights.. (I use HPS/MH lighting.. but that's just me.. i realize not everyone is going to use the same grow method.. or even use the same type of lighting as I do) but.. I mean I really haven't seen a whole lot of LED grows that turned out good you know.. there's just not that many out there. Here are few examples of the downsides of using LED lights: New tech, so there isn’t a lot of solid data bout the performance and they can be costly if you go lumen for lumen against aHID setup, meaning to reach a given lumen number you will spend more money trying to get there using LEDs.

But again, I haven't ever tried using LED lights myself.. so I can't really burn you too bad. :P jk.. but good luck man.

I'll just stick to using my simple HPS system with my dual spectrum (HPS/MH in one) bulb. Get's the job done quicker.. I get bigger buds.. I pay less to run my lights.. I dont have to worry about a single LED light burning out on me causing me to lose light output (lumens).

But like I said.. good luck to ya's.

peace..
