7150 watts in a single family home? too much...?

Would this raise any flags or draw attention from the wrong people? It would be 4000 watts in the flower room - 650 watts in veg/clone - 1000 watts worth of 1min on/5 min off water pumps - 700 watts on dehumidifier - I don't know how many watts on a/c but lets just say 750... and I don't know how many watts on CO2 gen -and regular home consumption... Sorry for the ugly post, but this board sucks when it comes to formatting...

You would be fine I'm sure one of my boy's does that 4000k flower with all the bells & whistles and 1 mother tent along with a clone tent. He complains about the prices though.

and I know that certain items like the pump and CO2 will be off more than they are on, so the numbers are skewed a bit... but still?

Be prepared for a 1000$+ electric bill.

What does your 'MAIN' at your meter say?
100
125
60 amps?

1000 watt light running on 220 volt... lights only pull 5 amps per leg of 220... 5 amps out of 60 grasp the obvious, even if your load is 4000 watts, if spread out over both legs of 220, equally, will only pull 18-19 amps [per phase] leaving you with plenty of power left over....to run the rest of your house...
No red flags...
Unless you turn your meter over, and steal your power... hahaaaa

@Sand4x105 - I'm not very savvy when it comes to electricity, but I'm in the US, so I doubt I'll be on a 220v system... unless I'm off base, but I thought it was 110v in the US.

@growlifegardener - Its not the cost, it's the suspicious nature of such high electrical usage in a relatively small space...

@cdub - Could you please explain to me why I need to do this? A lack of electricity? Like i said, I'm not very savvy when it comes to this stuff, so you're advice is a little vague... Thanks man.

like what cdub said. you should probably have your grow room running off its own box. 220v is higher then standard. Hence more electricity can be drawn at a lower risk. Id say to the electrician your installing a washer and dryer there, maybe central vac. idk, you get the idea.

220v pulls half as many amps as 120v. If you have a 1k watt light @120v ur pulling about 10 amps. With 220v its about 5 amps. You wont max out your panel as fast.

Thanks fellas, but this installation stuff may not be all that realistic... I'm renting and don't know that I should go on making modifications to the home... and how much would all of this run me anyway?

If your renting, its not wise to even be growing. But if you must... Do it in a grow box, making a grow room is just gonna piss your landlord off that much more. And sounds like you haven't been doing this for too long which can raise the risk of getting caught from low to high.

If you didn't prep a thing it'll cost you around 250-400 to get a box installed. I dont think a box is too cheap

If you're renting good luck with running 7000 watts. You would need to run on 7 different 10A 120V breakers.

Thanks for the concern fellas, but I'll be fine... I've done it before, not quite as much power... I've done 4000watt lights, with AC and dehumidifier and a bunch of misc stuff...The only real additions are 525 watts of light, CO2 gen and slightly bigger dehumidifier...@adower - Is what you described uncommon to find in one basement?
