72hrs Darkness 12hrs On/ Flushing

Ok so ive asked this many diff times in many diff threads and never get an exact answer.Say a plant says 10wks flower and i want to do the 2wk flush with the last wk 72hrs dark then 12on and continue that for the final wk.Now heres the question do i start the flush at 8wks or do i start the flush at 10wks..

When i say flush im meaning just feeding my baby with straight water

How are you growing her? Most hydroponics only need flushing for a week or so, thats usually the last week right before chopping.

Flushing hydroponically - Ideally swap your nutrient water with clean RO water for the last week, a quick flood to drain of the roots would help too.

Flushing in soil - From what I've read, flush with water 2-3 times the size of your soil (so i guess if you are growing soil with a 5 gallon bucket, then flush initially with 15 gallons of clean water) with 3 weeks left and instead of feeding her normally for the last 3 weeks just give her clean water.

So if you have a 10wks to flower strain, your scenario would be this -> change lights to 12/12 (after your veg cycle) she'll start to flower within a week or so, AFTER she starts to flower then you have 10wks of flowering, you'll put her on a regular feeding schedule for the first 7wks (soil) or 9wks (hydro) then for the last 3wks (soil) and 1wk (hydro) start your flushing process and end with giving her clean water. Your fan leaves will start to yellow these weeks because of it.

As for the lights, I have no idea, sorry dude.

First of all, 2 weeks of flushing is completely and totally overkill and you're shorting yourself by doing so. The flowers will continue to pump out essential oils and fatten up in the last two week of it's life. By flushing for those last two weeks, you're depriving your plant of the food it needs during that time. One week of flushing in hydro is more than enough and by flushing, I mean mild nutes and sweetners. Maybe add clearex for the last 3 days but one week total flush time is sufficient.

72 hours of dark with 12 on for the last week is a waste of time. What are you trying to accomplish by doing this? You won't pump out extra resin by doing this. 12/12 until the end. Done.

alrigh i was just wondering because i read it in my magizen that says it will shock the plant and more crystals and tricomes come out im only tellin ppl wha i read from skunk mag.

From Article called Scientist discovers how to increase tricome production.Out of 500 plants 375 had 50% more tricomes within the last week with the light sechuld of 12hours on 72off 12on 72 off then 12 on for your last day.Also shown that the buds became densier.The 125 plants that did not increase the tricome production still had a tighter bud structure.The comparison between 72hrs of darkness to not was a more of cerbal high that had a knock out effect the one without had a relaxing energitic high.From 2010 Skunk Growers Guide.

I dunna but when u have scientist doin these large experiments and end up with results like this i tend to believe it i mean there not tryin to sell me anythin so why make it up.Im not tryin to spread false information just thought it was ana interesting experiment so i thought i would try. 325 outta 500 great odds.

Try it for yourself. I tried it too about 8 years ago and noticed jack and shiz . I feel like efforts to improve your product should be measurable and in this case, I could tell it didn't do anything. If I find a product or procedure that doesn't make a measurable difference, then I cut it and keep things as simple as I can.

ya i just likie experiments shit wouldnt b marjoring in chemisty if i didnt, but i feel ya somethimes simple is best

i do 72 hours of 12 on and last day drop humididty down to 10% the plants go into survive m ode and extra resinate to not dehydrate

Congrats man. I heard of this pratice as well and I trust the guy that did it and he said he was amazed with the difference in results. I would try those odds as well.

ya i mean shit any ratio that is better thanhalf ynot try shit i buy normal seeds not femalized so guess im already taken risks,but u also gotta think yould they put that into a growers handbookif it didnt work i mean here not tryin to sell any product
