Current project and 1st time mainlining. Chose to do a single Malawi in 7 gal Sunshine advanced w/Botanicare PBP. Topped and trimmed in 2 gal then transplanted after quick recovery. Nice genetics so far. Plan 8 colas under 600w hps

I drilled 12 holes plus oil drain hole for drainage. It may get tricky emptying the runoff but I'll figure it out :)

Slow vertical growth from first post till now. She spent a lot of time and energy beefing up the support points on the main, and went crazy rooting in the 7gal pot transplanted just before first post. Hopefully she'll go vertical now. I can see why there's criticism on how mainlining adds to veg time. I'm still weeks away from a good flip to flower. She rebuilt herself, it obviously takes time.

Thanks man. She's getting there, a few more days to flip. I changed tomato rings to a smaller one, was able to route two mains and their shoots inside, with all others outside bottom ring. I use silica, but these stems are definitely the strongest of the few strains I've run. I pruned one final node and fan leaves underneath, canopy was covering them up. Seems good though I was shooting for that first ring stem only. Fairly even, nothing's tied at the moment we'll see. So far a breeze, very hardy, not picky, just a light N feeder. Cheers!

Besides N how does she feed?
Botanicare PBP grow is a 3-2-4 that can be used every watering. In general they recommend 10ml per gal, I use 5ml per gal during veg and she's stayed very green with no deficiencies. I've ran 10ml per gal bloom so I'll start there.

So depending on what you're using, I'd say at least 1/2 strength. Adjust depending on temps, humidity and how much she transpires.

I tried mainling for the first time outdoors last year. I did half as I usually grow and half mainlined. NO CONTEST! I love it!!
You did an amazing job! Looking great!

I have kept an eye on Ace Seed's Malawi. PLEASE finish this grow on RIU! Those sativas can grow big but mainlining looks so brutal. Ouch! :[ Is low stress training not enough?
