8 23 watt cfls for 1 pant?

8 23 watt cfls for one plant for veg ? I would keep it tiny and top it young because i heard thats the best to do when using cfls. My plan was to add a couple more in flower and start flowering 2 weeks from seed, how much of a yeild could i get from 230 watts of cfls? Does good reflection help for budding? should i use different types of cfls? I want the plant to finish at about 2-3 feet tall...

Check out the section on lights,I cannot remember very well but seems like I read 40 something watts
was the best for the money & output?
Mix it up on the red & blue;
What you growing in?

im not a clf man my self but sounds good. the more watts you the more nuts the plant can take in, means bigger yield for the most part. but you as a grower and the strain is what makes your yield big or small. giving her the right nute at the right time and so on.

That is fine for light. But you will need to veg longer. I recommend a longer veg so you can top, LST,and get lots of tops while keeping the plant short. Surround the plants with light!

23w works great. Whenever able, put the, on their sides. You want as much surface area of the light close to the plants. And once she is established, keep them very close to the plant.

When you get to flower, it becomes tricky. They stretch out the first few weeks rapidly and it is an ongoing challenge to arrange the lights/plants to keep them super close without touching the bulbs. That is the main reason I moved to LED (still using my cfl hood for veg).

Good luck!

You will be just fine. I used 6 32 watt CFL's for my girl and she looks great. How do you plan on hanging the lights?

Yes, 8 23w cfls will do just fine, even through flower. I had 5 23w, 2 13w and a 14w led panel in my last grow. 1 plant LSTd in a 2x2x3 box and I got about 3/4 oz. I could have got more if I vegged longer and flowered longer. I threw her into flower at about 4.5 - 5 weeks into flower. You'll do fine with those bulbs as long as you hang em right. Make a chandelier out of them and hang it over top, top and LST, then you will have a solid point of light for the arms to grow toward. Happy growing.

I grew many with cfl, gang them in a semi circle with "yS and hang. veg 4 weeks before going 12/12 if u can. bigger u get in veg is better with low penetrating light. zip and a half will be norm if you let them get 12-14". go to 2700k for flower tho

yield after two weeks CFLs = 10 grams? At best?
I'd LST them and tie it down...
FYI I grow 3-4 32-36" plants weekly...
Once she gets to 12-13" keep tying it down...
When you flip switch to 12-12 she will double in height the first 21 days.... in Flower...
Veg longer = bigger yield...

My very first grow was in MG soil with no nutes and tap water with 1 23w cfl for each of my 6 plants and got a half O all together. If you do what everyone else is saying and place your lights in the right spot, veg for a full month, lst and flower all the way you could get between 1 to 2 oz.
