Well To be honest, im too lazy to do that, plus im on the 3rd floor, so that tsunami can suck it!, plus i dont think it will make it this far inland (famous last words though huh? haha)

Natural disasters such as this are a tragedy but unfortunately unavoidable. Especially seeing as earthquake prediction techniques are not very accurate. I really think more time and money should be spent to mitigate any problems from earthquakes. Even if it means evacuating the entire city. Unfortunately since the accuracy of when an earthquake will hit is low, people don't seem to be happy about evacuating for weeks at a time, and seem to rather take the risk of staying put and hoping everyone else will sort the problem out.

Thank God Japans buildings and infrastructure are top of the line in regards to being earthquake proof.

Look at how Haiti just crumbled to the ground.

Yep, Haiti really should have implemented some retrofitting to the most vulnerable buildings. Might have been costly, but definitely cheaper in the long run. But even still I dont know how well they would have held up in Haiti :/
