8 week flowering strain ?

hi im growing a 8 week flowering strain . now my Q is is it 8weeks from the the day i turn it over to 12/12...? or is it 8 weeks from first sight of little bud? thanx

That sort of depends on who named it an 8 wk strain, and what they decided made it an 8 week strain.

i would guess it is from 12/12.

View the trichomes on your buds and harvest depending on the type of high you want. More ambers = more stoney
More cloudy = More of an uplifting high

Me personally, I perfer an uplifting high so I'd harvest when 30/40% of the trichomes are amber

Yeah, if you are wondering about the exact harvest day then take a look at the trichs through a 30-100x microscope with a light.

you can get those scopes at head shops and/or hydro stores. 30$US

Less than 15% clear, the rest cloudy. That's about my method.

i know all that thanx.without sounding like a know it all im far from .... its just some 1 told me u dont count any time until u see first signs of bud well that was like approx 10 days after switching to 12/12... . they look ready but i like to be patient just 2 doubly make sure.. and i like to feel stoned but not to the point where i cant operate ,,,

im at tha same point in my grow too bro..

As I see it flowering is flowering .. that means when the plant begin to bear flowers .. nothing to do with light schedule ..

think about it .. mine began to show white hairs = flowers 2-3 days after I cheanges my light schedule to 12/12 (fall)

if your did take 10 days and I know some take 2-3 weeks even .. non of us would haverst the same plant/quality ..

also .. outdoors you dont changes light ... the plant will begin to flower natural .. and that is when you schould count from ..
