Tried something different this year, grew 2 plants indoors, but with natural sunlight only, since my window gets a lot of sun, I've been very pleased with how things have gone, but i think i started them a bit too early, they have been flowering for 8+ weeks now and they still seem like they could do with about another 3-4 weeks.

Noticed what looked like a male preflower on one plant, pulled it off, then the next day, found 2 partially opened pods. I've been thinking about harvesting the plant when today i looked at the second one and found some pointy banana looking things poking out from inside one of the buds, so they are both doing it!!!! I'm looking at the buds differently now and it does look like there's a few seeds starting to come.

What's the best thing to do here? Harvest them right away before they start producing seeds or keep them going but keep removing pollen sacs?

hey,

welcome to riu

and yea, separate them, first, if ya can
Then either go through and pic off the male flowers, or harvest. Id try picking them off, so you can let those plants go longer. 8 weeks is the minimum. but really, 10 is better.

There were definitely male flowers, i picked them out before i took the pics, the first pic with the swollen calyx is what i was thinking could be a seed coming.

So am i right in thinking, if any male flowers are kept to a minimum, i can still get those buds bigger and without too many seeds? Or will the whole plant produce seeds now the plant has been polinated?

if you harvest it now you will not be happy with quality. if the plants get seeded (which is not a certainty) you will not be happy with the quality.

my sense of reasoning says keep them going as there is more chance of getting more quantity and quality whilst taking a small risk of getting seeds.

good luck.
