Hey @.Smoke ...all I can tell you is how I run mine...I try to keep under 85 by a few degrees, and I keep my day/night temp differentials tight...tons of air movement and exchange ...I had pm b4 and with this setup, zero problems.Hi all.
I'm new to using Led. Veg tent is in a cold basement and I was wondering if that much of a temperature change between lights on/off would be okay? Or do I need to run some heat @ night for them?
I have one bag seed plant left from the last group that is in a cold garage with no heat and 520 watts of LED. Its turning purple/black on some of the leaves. It budding fine but I'm sure its too cold and could be doing better. At what point is diminishing returns Idk.I've been running around 84 lights on with 69-71 lights out for some time now. I haven't noticed any problems.
My temp drops about 7 degrees or so with lights out, I would say anything crazy temp drop then yes a little floor heater would work with a temp control on itHi all.

Agreed, but indoors your trying to remove limiting factors. Big temp swings and low temps early in flower is a limiting factor ime.I won’t speak on what I am doing. Or about your specific issue. But I would like to point out that photo’s (as autos are done fast and I haven’t done any) photo plants go trough pretty big temp swings in nature. And, if cared for properly, plants do better in nature. After all... aren’t we all trying our best to emulate nature in our rooms, tents, cabinets n closets. Tried to fit it all in there, I’m sure there’s a few trailers too. lol. So unless your outside wouldn’t it make sense to let them go through some temp change during lights out?
