8weeks 12/12 and the smell is decreasing

hi all, im growing nirvanas bubblelicious, the plants have been thru hell so im stoked they came this far but im curious as to the smell. up untill 6weeks the plants smelt great but over the following 2weeks they have lost a lot of the smell.
i cant find any sign of a hermie and the nights have been real cold(dont know if it matters)..

any ideas???? and would this effect the potency, i wanted to wait til 9 weeks but dont know if they should be chopped now

also they have lots of trichs, hairs are mostly red but i cant see the colour of the trichs due to my dodgy mag..or it could be my eyes

Yeah my plants do that too, one day they smell like dankness, next day the smell is less or almost gone.. Has no significance in the readiness of your buds..

I have a good feeling you can't lock onto the trichromes because they are clear. If your trichs are clear, true the buds aren't ready but also your plant isn't finished making you presents yet. Take it down now, lose the most vigorous bud growing period yet!

Degradation is possible and likely though when all the trichs start to turn very soon some will begin to go dark.. This is THC loss..., so when the colas are ready you might want to go ahead and take them but let the rest of the plant finish. I do this with great results. Take the cola and lift her up closer to the light let the lower buds swell and finish..

Your plants are going to smell less in the cold and more in the warmth

and in the morning. If allowed to sit and stew, the smell will be arrid. When the fan hits them for 5 hours, the smell is stripped off for awhile
