8x CXB3590 panel: drivers?

Following realstyles led panel build, however I don't really want to dim them, he does this because he was facing a huge heatwave and I'm not super concerned about that.

I'm looking to run them harder because I want to maximize the grow and keep plants warmer during winter.

Anyone have an idea of the drivers I should get to run 8x 3590s harder?

(I want to run 72v cobs)

THIS thread has some common matchups

A very common setup is ( 8 ) cxb3590 72v run on (2) MW hlg185h-c700a , 4 cobs in series per driver. Each cob runs at about 50w.

The problem with running the 72v harder than that is that you begin needing a lot more drivers. hlg185h-c1050a only runs 2.6 cobs. You may want to research availability of the new hlg240h-c1050

I believe he is going to be ok with the hlg-185-700b since Realstyle run his @350mA and less...
After it is depend on the size of your grow room!
Do you aim for 3500ºk cd?

Oh shit - that would make it prohibitively more expensive. Thanks for pointing this out.

Any idea why I shouldn't just do 36v instead of 72v, if the 72v are so hard to optimize?

Seems like I could pack more on a single driver especially if I went for the newer HLG-240H-C700..

But this is where it all gets confusing for me (36 vs 72)

2×4=8sq/ft...8×30w=240...so yes with 2x200w take the b version of the hlg to be able to dim from10% to 100%
Or aim for the hlg-240-700 and run 5 on it!

350mA for 23w and 700mA for 36V...etc...under 350mA it is not easy to source efficient driver that is the "problem" with 72V...

No 5, 72v on a HLG-185H-C500 super efficient with the DD bin lol. Supra and I had a discussion about my new panel which dissipates 55watts when turned down and 59watts from the wall.

36v vs 72v is really "six of one & a half dozen of the other" it all follows Ohm's law. 36v @ 1400ma = ~50w 72v @ 700ma = ~ 50w.

-I think one of the advantages to the 72v is that you can run 3w-5w monos in series @ 700ma (since most monos cant handle 1400ma) I think we will see some build like this once the HLG240c starts hitting the streets, since they have additionl voltage headroom.
-the other advantage , its easier to drive the 72v hard as hell with the drivers we can access. not sure if this is really an advantage unless on an extreme budget and efficiency doesnt matter.

ding ding ... winner winner chicken dinner.

I have been using 1050ma with my cob/mono mixes with monos that can safely run at 1000ma (cree photo reds, royal blues etc).
nice to be able to run them at 700 or even 1000ma with the 72V 3590s.
