For a soil to last you 90 days with just feeding water only is going to be amended quite abit some good organic amendments to use are Kelp meal, alfalfa meal, crabshell meal, neem meal ect... Always use a good source of humus like wom castings, or good quality compost, they contains billions of good soil bacteria and fungi that help break down the organic amendments into usable forms for the plant to uptake, you should also let your soil mix "cook" for about 4 weeks before using it This means just letting the soil sit for a month after you add the amendments this will give the soil live time to break down the amendments into usable forms and won't burn the plant roots when you use it. Rock dusts are also very important, they give the soil bacteria and fungi something to hold onto and make their homes so they can then breed/feed and go to work... You could either buy a store bought mix and add those amendments to it or make your own soil mix, My soil mix when I get round to making it will consists of:
1/3 mix of homemade compost and worm castings.
1/3 mix of peat and coco coir
1/3 mix of perlite/pumice and rice hulls if I can get my hands on them..
To this mix I will be adding Kelp meal, Alfalfa meal, Neem meal, Crabshell meal.. I will add these onto a tub using equal parts and then use 2-3 cups of that mix per cubit foot(7.5gal) of soil mix I will also be adding 4-5 cups of rock dusts per cubit foot..
I hope this helps you, I know making your own soil mix will be 100X better than a store bought soil like foxfarms or roots organic...
If you don't want to make your own compost and worm castings then source some locally from private nurseries they will serve you better as the humus source is your most important thing in any organic soil mix
