The florescent section lately seems to be all newbie cfl grows so I thought this would be a nice change. This will probably be my last grow before moving to a 150 HPS. I have my first order from attitude on the way so this is just to kill some time.

Lighting:4 tube X 2' T5HO fixture (96w) - Lights are on 20/4
Container: 5 Gallon
Soil: Miracle Grow Organic/Perlite 75/25
Ventilation: 12" Fan



Sprouted: 11/6/13

Days: 1,5,9, and 11 (Today)

Transplant into the five gallon is tomorrow. Will top around day 20 and start to mainline. Clone will be rooted, vegged for a week and flowered to determine sex.

BB, have you considered leds? Some damn good ones available.

Yes, the upfront cost is more BUT you won't have the bulb degradation for >5 years of constant 18/6 use, and 12/12 at least 3 years longer.

See A 51 for a very high quality 'reasonably priced' panel. Lots of impressive grow threads in the led section

I have an 8 bulb Quantum BB: bulb replacement @ ~ $25/quality bulb is ~ half the cost of an A51. By the 3rd bulb replacement the A 51 puts $$$ in my pocket

I've looked into them before but they are really expensive. The HPS is cheaper but the energy cost is more and produces more heat. Can you recommend me an LED? I was under the impression that HID produces denses buds/bigger yields

Their SGS 160 is ~ $500 + free shipping. It's one hell of a panel. Think of the upfront difference (after exhaust fans ...) as a medium term investment.

Right now, they are rolling out their 2014 model, chances are they can put you together with someone who wants to upgrade their 2013 to the 2014 model.

There are a few other quality led companies, but they are more expensive

Maybe after some money gets saved up I'll consider it. I wasn't looking to spend more than say 250$.

Day 12:Transplanted into a 5 gallon today. First time with this soil and I'm pretty nervous to see what happens. Roots looked pretty healthy, but i was expecting more lateral growth. Gave the soil a nice soak and probably won't be watering for nearly a week. Going to be interesting to see what happens to this insane growth rate.

No clue but I would bet it is some sort of kush. Has the strongest smell and fastest growth rate out of the 50 plants or so that I've grown. A link to your grow would be great.

have not started a grow log for the hso lemon thai kush.
but this is my blue widow i am finishing up.
will be starting one in the next week or so.
like to hear about the speed of growth it may be a good one to clone and keep around.

The widow is looking really good can't wait to see the final weight.

Day 13: It responded pretty well to the transplant, looks nice and healthy. Will be topping hopefully this weekend. Still waiting on my atitude order, ordered on the 16th

thanks on the blue widow. took 2 smaller colas at 8 weeks both weighed 2g each dried.
so hoping to get 120-140g at week 10. but may be a stretch we will see. 10 days til chop.

these are all from the first harvest of the plant nice rock hard buds that bud weighs 7g and still curing since sept 1 chop. only thing with this bud makes me cough no matter what but has a nice up high then creeps to very narcotic heavy arms and legs but still very functional.

Beautiful buds bro! The plan is going to grow 1 purple kush, the think different, and 1 of the PE autos in 1 gallon containers. Going to make some fem seeds with them. Meanwhile, the photo PE will be vegging next to them and when they harvest after about 8 weeks, I'll get my 250w HPS and then flower the big PE. After that I'll be doing a perpetual with all the auto fem seeds

Day 14: Looking much better today. Raised the lights just a bit to get a healthy stretch on the plant. Wan't to take a clone By the end of the weekend. Also got the scrog screen put in.

Day 16: My order from attitude arrived! All 9 of those beans are germinating as we speak. Should have some seedlings within a few days. The bagseed looks good but I'm slightly concerned about some of the fan leaves. I'm thinking some sort of deficiency, hopefully someone can id it.
