A bit too fast yellowing for comfort any input appreciated.

So I'll keep it as short and sweet as possible. I'll try posting pics asap but for now I'm just passed the 5wk point working on wk6 the strain is Super Lemon Haze which I thought was a 10-11wk or so strain but I'm getting a bit too fast of yellowing on my fans and not exactly on just lower leaves even a bit of the upper fans are getting it pretty bad. I know near the end of flowering its ok but isn't this too early? I have had issues with (the claw) nitrogen toxicity before and have since lowered my feed of N. I'm using GH Flora trio series from all I can read on the matter and diagnosing based on appearance it looks like a darn nitrogen deficiency hell one pic looked the exact same as my leaves yellowing and curling up from the what I feel is the lack of N but a leaf here and there still have that claw. Also considered adding more CalMag but she's already getting 6ml/gal actually maybe a smidge higher then that. Oh before I forget just some info, grow medium is soilless I personally mixed, equal parts sphagnum peat/perlite/vermiculite normal black plastic pots except for big plant its in a pretty damn big guessing 10 gal or so red pot from Wal-Mart. Temps in room are around 75 up to about 80 or so at canopy (do my best to blow air away from the 2 600w HPS's humidity isn't great around 25-30 but figure its fine in flowering. Anything you awesome experienced growers can provide will be greatly appreciated :D

Can you post some pics? That will help the resident experts (not me) determine your problem.
I'll try to take some now seeing as I'm quite new I'm kinda not wanting to turn off the HPS' only to pop em on again after the pics as I know it hurts their lifespan. But I'll see what I can do. I'll take some HPS on if anyone who chimes in needs to see without them on I'll do it if it helps them help me :D lol

be patient and take the pictures right after lights off, that way you don't cause unnecessary stress on your light(s) or plants.

How often are you watering and how much?

the 6th pic is of four smaller clones I put to flower alongside mom they get 1 gallon or so I'd say they go about a week and a day or so give or take before they droop a bit they are in #5 pots something a bit over 3 gals I believe. Big momma is in that big red pot in that same picture I'd say its a 10gal or so a bit before flower had her in a 5.5gal was a hell of a job transferrin her on my own to that darn thing not to mention its a hell of a job to even move her so instead of flushing her traditionally i've been giving her 5 gals a feeding and that tray below overflows quite a bit figure it'll do the job of a makeshift mini flush every time lol. She goes about the same time perhaps a bit longer then the four clones do perhaps 1wk 2 days? her feed which I reduced a lil of N was originally 2-3-4 of flora series gro, micro, bloom was instead of 10mls gro I used 9, micro went from 15mls to 14, and bloom I left at 20mls figured just that slight change should stop the N toxicity. It hasn't progressed at all and it was just minor to begin with but I'm definitely paranoid thinking that although some parts of the plant were showing toxicity that perhaps overall it was deficient? is that even possible? Lights are about to go out in like 15-20 mins Ill try to stay awake till then I'll post em up if I can tonight if not I'll definitely post em tomorrow.

also please let me know if I'm dumb about that mini flush business to me it makes sense but please correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't even need the pics here!

Too much P too early!

1: NEVER start "bloom" feeds till week 3 on an 8 week plant. Week 4 on a 12!

2: I would suggest to mix veg and bloom at 50/50 for a week after week 3 and then go full on 100% bloom at week 4.

3: No super high P&K, like shooting powders or 0-50-30 till week 6-7 and only use once! I say this only if you "HAVE TO" try one.....For the most part, I don't think they do much.....If you HAVE to try one. Look for one higher in K then P like around a 0-9-19 ratio and again - 6-7 weeks only ONCE!

Yeah, I would keep the ratio at 3-1-2 or 3-1-3 all through the grow/bloom and do a pk boost if you really need to per Dr. Who's instructions.

Don't forget that calmag adds n to the equation

Well for the first two wks or so I did a transitional feed ratio of Gro,Micro,Bloom 1-1-1 then went to 1-2-3 then last and 2nd last feed 2-3-4. the NPK ratios of the Gro Micro Bloom are: Gro 2-1-6 Micro 5-0-1 Bloom 0-5-4. So from what you've said I started hitting the P a wk too early... lol I know I sound real inexperienced asking but whats shooting powders? I take it you recommend using them to boost up their feed a bit just the once? To Samson I hadn't considered that CalMag added N. As the noob I am I haven't fully learned the significance of the ratios on each bottle looking at em now I can see why there was a N toxicity since Micro has the highest N strength While Gro has the highest K strength.

Giggle, If you don't know what a "shooting powder" is,,,then you'll be happy to know you don't need it! A HIGH P&K powder around the 0-50-30 ratios would fit in the "shooting powder" line up....I wouldn't recommend a shooting powder ever..
You need to "learn/dial in" what your doing with what you have before you even try something like that!
The first one I would try would be the Atami/B'cuzz Blossom Builder. 0-9-19 and again once at week 6..

The N in the G&H 3 part line is kinda week. Any N from a Cal/Mg is a GOOD thing....

N will "mask/delay" sort of,,, high P.

The use of Si (Silica) will help regulate P up-take. I DO recommend a GOOD Si. G&H Armor SI and Dyna Gro PROTEKT are the 2 best...The use of Si bumps up K and that's OK...

Good! All the more I don't need more knowledge for lmao.So essentially your saying that the powder by atami would just be a one time supplement to give it a slight boost if I'm interpreting that right? Being new as I am I definitely don't know the exact science of everything yet although I won't deny I like learning about it sadly time is always my enemy in that regard haha.

Ah well I'm glad I'm addin a good bit of Cal/Mg then.

Well what's awesome is... I just so happen to use PRO-TEKT  Not in huge amounts of course I probably should have mentioned that earlier I did forget to add it to what I said I was feeding with. I usually or have been using 10mls in the five gallon jug I'm usin.

Oh btw I really do appreciate the help thanks

I think it might have more to do with your watering schedule than nutrient deficiencies. If youre going over a week in between waterings in the middle of bloom then something is off. If they are holding that much water to last that long then the root zone could be getting stagnant and oxygen depleted which could be damaging the leaves.

Also you mentioned them drooping towards the end sometimes before watering which is also best to avoid,it happens sometimes but drying out too much or too frequently can prevent the leaves from rebounding after getting watered again, leading to the yellowing and curling up/dying. 25% humidity is low too, if you could get that up some that would be good for next time.

Ah you're probably right, I did find it a bit long although to be honest watering has always been a problem with time the only way to keep heat down as much as possible (live in a very hot dry climate not so bad yet but will be soon) I have lights startin up at 7pm-7am I work a late swing shift and get home have to tend to a couple things most nights then water which again I know is not ideal being closer to lights out, which very well could attribute to these issues you mentioned. Lights have shut off on me during this time too but I usually wait till the plant shows signs that they need water before I do (during the beginning of this my first grow I overwatered and got fungus gnats) so I try to avoid it as much as possible but sometimes they droop more then would be ideal and again I'm certain is hurting me. Also side note, I used miracle gro peat moss for its 5.5 gal pot which I feel may be affecting it as well being that it contains nutes too... Also I've heard thats why I got fungus gnats too lil yellow/clear balls was in the soil early on noticed some were cracked open and drier so I've since changed to sunshine peat moss with no nutes also cheaper in bulk also initially was miracle gro perlite switched to vigoro without nutes in bulk as well.

I bought an evaporative cooler but its not helping too much but doubles as a fan as well for the price I got can't complain. So... I don't want to sound ungrateful because I am very much so but what would you suggest as far as what to do to avoid the drooping but still allowing oxygen into the medium? Can it even be done considering the possible lack of drainage? Like I wrote earlier the mix was equal parts Peat/Perlite/Vermiculite figured it was good... then again during the beginning I did have to do stuff on the fly due to lack of supplies could have something to do with it... lol Thank you though so much for the input the more I get the more I can incorporate now and in the future for my next grows I'll try lowering peat a lil get better drainage as much as watering more often will suck lol.

Im not too familiar with peat, I know that it is an amendment in some mediums but when I hear peat I think of the low oxygen peat bogs that they pull it from :) My favorite soilless mix is coco/perlite, it allows for good drainage and it is inert so it is easier to control for how much nutrients you want your plant to get without guessing what is already there, Im not sure if you have access to a grow store that stocks that though.Yeah keeping humidity up in dry environments can be tough. I use humidifiers when needed and try to keep it above 35% or so.

I would also suggest trying out some quicker 8/9 week strains while you are getting the hang of things, longer finishing strains can be tough to keep happy the whole time when you are still working out the kinks as far as environment and grow medium etc.

Maybe check out tropf blumats for all your watering concerns. they automatically water whenever your medium gets to the desired point. would eliminate a lot of the stress from trying to fit too many things into your schedule after work.

The Be'cuzz Blossom Builder is a high concentrate liquid = 1-2 ml per gallon...

No problem dude!

Peat is normally inert issue was in the beginning I just wanted to get started and miracle gro peat was all I could seem to find. I've thought of coco but I hear you need specific types of nutes to work in it? Also would hurt me on the watering end since another thing I've been told is you don't let coco dry out you constantly water it and keep it somewhat saturated lol. The evaporative cooler can push it up like at most 5% and that's usually when I have the door closed I try to keep it open when I can to keep temps down a bit more.

As for the 8/9 week strains I should have definitely considered that but I wanted something more sativa then indica dominant which I know wasn't and shouldn't have been my biggest concern starting out but here I am divin full in haha. I did happen to see a store that sold liquid nutes and the like but it was at midnight or so and close Maybe I'll stop by it sometime. See what I might find :D

Wow sounds pretty awesome from what I saw. But man a tad expensive.... especially for just one plant already invested quite a decent bit of money into starting up probably can't start with that till later but definitely something I'm interested in later on. Always wanted even from the start to move on to an auto watering system or just some kinda DWC or somethin like that. No I somehow fell asleep in the grow room before lights off (seems I can sleep just about anywhere if I'm tired lol) Totally forgot after that to do so I'll do my best to get one soon but considering I should sleep soon it may be another darn week before I can.

I'm on my first set now, found a kit on amazon for $42 with shipping. I bought some drip clean (because i am using nutes in my reservoir) and a 7 gallon reservoir for my two plant grow. Was really easy to set-up and haven't had any problems yet.
