A black guy I thought was racist comes by...

I'm mixed race and live in South Africa,I have racist white friends and racist black friends

anyway my point is that most people who are open minded find themselves being racist towards they own race. People need to be individuals and not live within stereotypes to have a sense of identity.
South Africa, rough country right? Maybe I'm just a misinformed American...

Anyways, yeah, I guess that is accurate enough...

The [80%] white kids act like...well...white kids in my area.

The [80%] black people act like... people.

That's where my logic comes from, and the figures come from my experience.

The purpose of this thread, was to say that a black guy I assumed was in the [20%] was actually a really cool guy. I've been trying to convince him to take some 2C-E or 2C-I, which I'm gonna order on my first paycheck.

Wow, i had mistakenly clicked this post and kept on reading. Skipping past the childish/immature CRAP, i'll stick the the basics.

I'm not racist, but i do admit to stereotyping alot of people. Not simply by race either. These days, I think you'd be a fool not to. Not saying i alienate them or anything, i just realize that most of the time, you CAN judge the book by the cover.

I personally don't fit the stereotypical mold of a "stoner". Most people i smoke with the first time are rather shocked that i do smoke. I usually keep my smoking to myself and a very select group of friends as well; but I've never turned down the offer from random strangers either.

If i can make a suggestion, relook over the first post and edit it. It could be rather easy for some people to decifer things about a situation concerning others than yourself. Those other people may not enjoy other people knowing about their actions.

Hmm, other random thoughts: Rap music has it's place just as much as any other "ear pollution". Although there is very little rap music i do enjoy, i do own some of it, and respect the talent that some of these people have. Most of them though have very little "real" talent and cover it with obnoxious bass tones and lyrics of "bitches, guns, and money". I assume when your from the ghetto, you can analize these lyrics better than most. Whatever floats your boat i guess.

I have some things in common with some black people and their race doesn't affect my thoughts of them as a person. I will admit to thinking that one of my closer friends, who is black, i thought was trying to steal my car the first time i met him though. Turns out, i had left my car running outside a gas station and he overheard what was playing inside the car and was curious about the music. A short conversation later, we were bullshitting about the music and smoking a phatty. Interesting how things work in life eh?

Although it may be easy to assume all white people love Busch beer, NASCAR, live in a trailer park and beat their wife;
and all black guys are hung like a horse, drink Colt 45 and smoke crack;
and all mexicans are dirty border jumpers who can put a roof on a house in 4 hours only to come steal your stuff later;
and all arabs are going to hijack the first flying object and crash it;
I strive to understand people from all aspects of life and make some kind of connection with them if they choose to do so.

What really irks me is those people (of all races) who give not only their race, but people in general a bad name. Bad people are bad people. I try to take it for what it is.

In life you only get 1 shot. So do you "shine on you crazy diamond" or do you waste away closer to the inevitable?

I drink Colt 45 and HATE nascar.

But yeah, I understand what you are saying. My profiling of 'whites' is more profiling of the average white guy at this college. His t-shirts cost thirty dollars, and they are just a regular t-shirt with the word Hollister, American Eagle, or Aeropostale on it. Their jeans cost $60, and come ripped. My jeans cost $15, 2 years ago, and I'm 'in style' wearing them. My t-shirts are regular or have at least something other than an advertisement on them.

The same with the black guy under scrutiny in this situation. He played into the 'thug black guy' who talks thickly and yells out WHOOOOOO!!! when playing the xBox with his friends, and responds to what's up? or how's it going? with 'Chillin', chillin.' But turns out he's pretty cool.

I was more or less [just now realizing this] pointing out my surprise that my stereotype was wrong, and realizing that this could be more often, as I usually never take the time to find out.

esplain this....... im white and i cant stand the way most white people act......

because i am black and cant stand the way a lot of blacks act.. education plays a big role in this but is not 100% so does $$
i hate when blacks play the race card ever time someone that is non black gives them a hard time
i hate whites dont reconize whin something racist has happend and then says thats anything but racism -
i hate that its 2009 and there is still racist shit happening on this planet in the USA

i hate that every picture of anyone from the bible is alway a white person when back then there was only blacks that lived in those area's (hair of wool skin of bronse) i laugh everytime i see these pure white christian that pray to a black god thats been colored white

i hate that people say that they hate 100% when in fact they just hate some people as if they love 100% of there own kind this world is so fucked up - you must realize all does not hate all or noone will be here, there whites that loves black and there black that loves white

ive hung out with white that didnt start acting racist untill other whites came around

we our 1 planet
the only thing that brings races together is war and destrution

this planet will not unite untill the alians of war come

one of the bigest struggles for a white person that does not wont to be look at as a racist is there up bringing.
it took a while for me as a black man to understand this - most people see threw the eyes of the parents and grand perants and there community - if i was a white kid that grew up around hate towards everything that wasn't white - then when i stepped out side this world and saw that the planet was bigger then a swa sticker and i no longer beleaved in hate it would be a hard time adjusting, the jokes i would of learnd will now be wrong to tell - stereotypes that i felt where law would no longer apply (atleast not all of them to everyone in that race) i have to pull my white friends aside all the time and tell them hay thats not cool to say, or no dont do that people will look at you strange for that, and he's not racist he just grew up thinking one way, he told me that a while back- he said hey brother i dont ever want you to think that i am racist , i just grew up in a racist house hold so sometime the things i say or the way i think will come out wrong

i realy feel bad for the white kids that has non-white friends that has to go home every night to hear his father and uncles , mothers and sisters talk openly about non white race hate - knowing he can never till them the things they say hurts him and the people they talk about are not all like that- he could never bring his friends over to play, or show his friend outside of being a racist shit head his dad is one of the coolist dads ever
there are white people that disown there kids for having non white friends - this is some sad shit

My dad was a poster example of what a racist is. I feared him greatly, but I can remember being 6 or 7 yrs. old and getting in his face when he made awful racial remarks, telling him he was wrong for saying/acting that way. I took after my mom quite a lot. :lol:

I've had several guys ask me if I've ever dated a black guy before (back in my dating years, lol). They wanted to know whether I was "worthy" of them. I'd reply that not only had I dated black men before, but they treated me with the utmost respect, and that was something I hadn't received from many white men. And I'd laugh my ass off when these idiot bigots would "shun" me because of this atrocity I'd committed... as if I cared about their opinions. :roll: They really had no clue that they were the ones being "tested" for character, etc., in the end; not me. :lol:

im not against dating outside my race, im just scared to i dont fall into the black men are large steriotype even though i've been told that i am big , i just dont believe it - i look nothing like the guys on pornos do
i would love to be with differant women from around the world
but being in a relationship is differant
that would be hard, i would find myself fighting alot and angered at the hate that my girl will recive. im kind of a EMO thug, but im all for the hook up, the quick fix, the one nighter all nighter the weekend fix,the busdown,etc
all women are so sexy to me
and this is why i know that people force themself to hate- to me if you are truely turnned on by the oppsit sex, skin color will not turn you off

We should all be ashamed of our bodies!

Where the fuck did that Mantra come from?

I've heard that if you open up your search options in eHarmony to include all ethnicities,

you still get hooked up with people with whom you are highly compatible.

I view many things in humanity as spots along spectrums, rather than black or white, switch on, switch off.

Human genetics makes this so.

When you have spirit of ethnicity... things mellow out a bit, the same realizations occur before your eyes, or moreso the temperaments of your toungues!

I only have one hollister shirt, only if the pigeon could represent the ocean ;)

^I told my parents I was going to bring my girl to Thanksgiving, and they said to ask G+G. They were excited to have my girlfriend come by. This is more funny but related to racism though. My grandpa's age is getting to him, and after the meal we were sitting around in the living room and playing cards, etc. and he says, "I didn't expect you to be black." to my girlfriend. And she says "Excuse me?" And then he explained that I didn't tell them that she was black and that he wasn't a racist. I eventually took my gf out of the room and talked to my grandpa then went in the bedroom and talked to her but she couldn't quit laughing because of the ridiculousness of the entire situation. I was glad I wasn't dealing with waterworks. But, that was the last time she went to Thanksgiving with my family. But then again that relationship lasted only 5 months, so she probably wouldn't have come with me to the next Thanksgiving seeing as we weren't together.

I fully realize the stereotype of 'grandpa' being racist. For half of my family, that's true. My grandfather [now deceased] my dad's father, was racist against everyone who wasn't white as snow and believed in God. My other grandfather [my mother's father] is completely against racism in all forms.

But, my mother, doesn't mind any races except for black women. My mother loves all the black men in church and at work, and dislikes 99% of black women she meets. I find this odd. My father tells a few racist jokes, but he is not racist in practice.

Then again, he gets pissed when my maternal grandmother's twin sister's husband starts on his 'stupid pollock' jokes. Maybe that's because him [and me to a lesser extent] are maybe 25% at best Polish...

Who knows where I was going with this.

There's this black dude down the hall here in the dorms and he straight up does not hang out with but one white guy. His roommate is also black but if you were blind you'd think he was white. This other guy, S, the one I'm talking about is straight thug, he's a football player here. He's built as fuck, and doesn't say a lot of 'white guy' stuff. I was walking down the hallway and he said what's up and we started a conversation. Eventually I invited him over for a few shots, and we watched the KU game. He turns out to be pretty chill. Though I do feel that I'll never fully be in his circle unless I wake up black one day. So he's still slightly racist in my mind, but not anything horrible, he's pretty cool.

Also, he says he smokes when football season is done, so I'll have another buddy.

I also thought about how I'm racist. Really, not badly, I don't hate anyone, but whenever I walk into class, I try to sit next to the black guys, as there's a smaller likelihood of them being the Hollister-wearing, one-brain-cell-having frat boys with lots of money. I believe I prefer the company of black people, but I can't really tell why. Also I have observed that more percentage of black guys who smoke weed know what they're doing and the white kids who say they get stoned come by and are far from chill. The black guys speak realistically about weed, and the white kids talk about how dank their shit is and how it is better than whatever you got, blah blah blah...

I'm a white guy who hates white guys, how did this happen?
you disgust me:fire:
