A deputy stops a black man in Georgia not to arrest him but to challenge his right to vote.

SPARTA, Ga. — When the deputy sheriff’s patrol cruiser pulled up beside him as he walked down Broad Street at sunset last August, Martee Flournoy, a 32-year-old black man, was both confused and rattled. He had reason: In this corner of rural Georgia, African-Americans are arrested at a rate far higher than that of whites.

But the deputy had not come to arrest Mr. Flournoy. Rather, he had come to challenge Mr. Flournoy’s right to vote.

The majority-white Hancock County Board of Elections and Registration was systematically questioning the registrations of more than 180 black Sparta citizens — a fifth of the city’s registered voters — by dispatching deputies with summonses commanding them to appear in person to prove their residence or lose their voting rights. “When I read that letter, I was kind of nervous,” Mr. Flournoy said in an interview. “I didn’t know what to do.”

Sparta and your rural area of Georgia are all black, some Whites, So you point out that more blacks are arrested than Whites,....Well duh Guy....Stop baiting like this, you wont get the reader`s attention.

If more than 180 black people have been reported to have false claims, well you don`t get the local trash guy to investigate.

Who should investigate false claims made by it`s citizens ? The trash guy?, the doctors at the hospitals ?

Kat says it`s wrong for the deputies to follow this up, so he typed out this post.

I got your point kat,...More White people should get arrested in mostly black area`s, and the deputies should not investigate blacks with false claim reports. That should be done by the taxi drivers, after they get robbed of course.

If Mr.. Flournoy is in the clear, he would know what to do.

It might have something to do with the deliberately underfunded and therefore substandard education he got while living in a poor, rural, mostly black part of the state, you fucking moron.

How long are you going to believe that "I`m dumb, I`m poor, I`m incapable, I`m oppressed, they made me live here" excuse bullshit ?

You basically state Blacks can`t do anything by themselves. I don`t believe that for one second, but you seem to acknowledge it as fact. And, use it as your reply.

STFU.

I understood the post quite well. It had to do with the oppression excuse. Asians got it worse than Gangsta Rappers and they don`t bitch. When`s the next riot scheduled ? It`s back to school shopping month.

This statement has absolutely nothing in common with the truth.

They got it bad because 40% of them are illegal guy. Brothers be like legit citizens. Well the one`s that don`t speak two languages anyway.
Asians sell guns, fireworks, whores and steal parking,...but they don`t bitch about oppression and discrimination or racist.
