Hi Guys,

I have a friend looking to get back into the growing after about 10+yrs and he is thinking about going LED this time around. He is trying to find out who makes/sells good quality LED lights that he can look into? He last used the MH and HPS lights but has sold them when he took a break years back. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Save $150, and DIY with two of these instead, which gives you basically the same thing: https://horticulturelightinggroup.com/collections/kits/products/260w-qb-v2-rspec-led-kit

Plus you can use the "riu10" discount code for 10% off, and also free shipping, so you'd be looking at $628..

This seems slightly more reasonable but still I need to replace 2 x 600 watts in total but was just asking for the specs for 1

my current lights are cheap as chips but definately an investment worth thinking about

If you're able to diy, you could order 20 or so SL-B8V7N90L1WW 3000k or SL-B8U7N90L1WW 3500k Samsung strips from Arrow.com and 2 Meanwell HLG-600H-48A or B drivers along with some aluminum channel for a frame and have your 1200+/- for 700 or 800 including the extra bits to finish it out.

Yeah, I hear you. I converted my single 600w HPS tent to LED a month or so ago. I went the DIY route, and it cost me around $500 all done. I picked 4 of the HLG QB96's for a total of 480watts to replace the 600w hps.
