A good beginner hydro system?

I was thinking about ordering SH Hydroponics, Inc. > Bubbleponics™ 6 Planter Starter Kit as a starter system to grow a few plants just to have as a head stash, would this be a good one to start out with or is there any other places that sell a system with all the things I will need except the soil and nutes and such?

Also, I was going to start out with just filling it with bag seeds for my 1st go around so I can get used to it and then ordering some from marijuana-seeds.nl/, are they a good source to buy from in the US?

What should be the different light/dark times for my bag seeds in their different phases? (sprouting, veg, flower)

I've been reading around the site most of the day and pretty much got down the light rotations and what I will need for nutrients, so now all I need to know is if that hydro system would come with everything else that I will need to grow some nice bud. Any help is appreciated.

Yes, it has everything you'll need to grow in your closet. I think I'd use different nutes though. Try Pure Blend Pro "Grow" and "Bloom" and suppliment with CalMag.

Oh ... you're going to need a PH test kit too. Also ... use purified water instead of tap water.

LOL You sound like the guys in the hydros shop pushing a brand.
(just joking. I just read your post about just that in the other thread)

Okay I thought I knew what I would need for the nutrients and what kind of medium I would use for that system but I was looking at the nutes for outdoor growth...

I was thinking about using a perlite medium and 3 Part Hydroponics Nutrients | Advanced Nutrients | Hydroponics Growing for my nutes, would this all work good to have a healthy garden and is there anything else I will need? I know about the pH tester kits and was going to keep the pH at 5.8 -6.0 would that be a good level to keep it at?

I've built something pretty similar to that system for myself and it works great. The only concern I've heard about the Bubbleponics system is that for mature plants the trickle of water can keep them too wet and promote crown rot and so forth.

That's easily fixed by just adjusting the little dripper line further away from the plant once the roots are long enough to reach the water below. The system is basically just a modified DWC with dripper lines to make it easier for seedlings to grow.

As ViRedd said, I wouldn't use the Stealth Hydro nutrients - I've heard a lot of bad stuff about them. Not worth the risk for my money.

The AN stuff you're looking at is top-notch. You can't go wrong there.
