A little help for a friend

How in the hell can someone let it get that bad?

Just goes to show that just because you spend a bunch of money on equipment doesn't mean you'll be able to grow weed. That should have been identified and treated long before it got to that stage. Tell your friend to sell their equipment and buy weed instead. Or at the very least learn the basics on growing and what issues might arise.

Thank you all. I thought it was thrips, but don’t have much bug experience. I would like to guide him in the right direction, but I fear he doesn’t have the fortitude to chop and discard. Sadly
The included pic is of my current grow. Only bug pressure I have ever had to deal with is gnats.
Well that looks nice. Your friend not so much. They have issues beyond bugs. All the dead leaves in the photo. They're obviously not putting in the effort that you are.

Whatever you do don't go into your friends grow area. It's a biohazard.

I've been freaked out of the hydro shops ever since some guy walked in saying he's been battling spider mites.

I'm getting itchy just thinking about it.
