A little help from the auto gurus?

So I've decided to attempt my first auto grow in a gl40 tent (16" x 16" x 48"). I have a few Barneys PE, HBD by short stuff, i think an easy rider floating around. I have been doing as much research as possible before attempting this grow and want to get the maximum oput of my plants. I can fit a 10 gallon square fabric pot in the tent, or two 3 gallons pots. Is it advisable to try and run 3 autos in the one 10 gal pot with LST to fill out the entire space in the tent? OR a better idea to do the same with 2 plants in their own 3 gal pots? I only ask because I havent come across many growers attempting multiple autos in a single pot, as I have seen with some non auto strains without too much ill effect if the plants are properly trained... Thanks in advance, i will likely keep a journal once all is in order. Getting excited :weed:

one plant in a 5 gal will fill that tent with lst
two 3 gals sog would be very tight quarters with the HBD and PE
one HBD highly lst'd was roughly 28" wide

and auto's have very space aware roots they reach and feel and the plants size is judge by how freely the roots stretch

good info, i see your name pop up alot in adv. autoflower thread lol. i thought the HBD was a larger auto, the PE as well? That aside I am trying to maximize the amount of tasty smoke I have after 70 days or so...the single plant in a 5 gal would yield more than the (2) 3 gal pots?

its a toss up pheno's play a big part bigger pots run longer most of the time
the hbd runs alot longer then breeder times like 1-1 1/2 months if you get the monster pheno i wouldnt expect it to run less then 4 months from the experience i had with it

my avitar is HBD
i really like the barneys pe some of the better tasting pheno's are on the smaller side 18-20 inches 1oz or so
my journal has like 100 random unlabeled auto pics i can remember what they are by looking at them
no real bud porn/finish pics but if youve grown before you can kinda tell what they're yielding

hmmm, might have to run the easyrider and a PE side by side in 3 gals, and save the HBD for when I have more room just in case! If i had 2 zips of some dank from some nice full LSTd ladies after they were all done Id be happy :) Very intrigued by the AF still, curious to see how they will do

thats a nice lookin plant, that would fill the tent completely, PE similar in size? hmmm. guess its going to be an experiment to see what gets me the most out of the tent, one or two ladies, one big pot or two medium pots...sounds like i need two tents..or to buy my own place

I plan on spreading her out as much as possible too in order to get buds in every available inch. Is the PE a decent yielder?

not exactly the same thing but i just dropped a seed next to my berry ryder (5gal pot) as soon as it comes up and get's it's true leaves i'll cut the berry ryder down. i'm play'n with a no till reuse of my soil. i switched to all organic a while ago so i could try this. but i have seen multiple plants in the same container that were doing very well.. i saw a guy with three in a 25gal pot.. but like tekdc911 said you are going to have an issue with wall space more then container space. but i would say if you went with the 10gal that you would get more out of two plants in there then you would with three... same thing with the 3gal... i think you would get more from one plant (done right) then you would with two plants in a 3gal pot.. with that said i'll say just do what ever the fuck you want and post the results.. the only way we are going to get out real info on auto's is by pushing the envelope and showing everyone that there are not your fathers autos

Space is definately a huge factor. And who knows really what the plants are going to do depending on the pheno.. Until it starts to happen right? For some reason i think two autos in a 10 gal would do well in bed together so to speak. Trial and error. And they are most def not our fathers autos. Just comparing pucs/experiences from a few years ago till now..

its the roots that judge size from my experience ive had runts that i found no reason other than the roots getting balled up in that chunky extra large perlite
and i would think it would be really hard not to over water in a 10 gal indoors

almost any auto can yield

the problem is you really have to run the same strain a few times and get to know it then you can really bump up the harvest

I would think a 16x16 inch tent would have barely enough space for one , let alone two. If it was me I would throw it into at least a 3 gallon pot and go the single route. I would think you would get a better yield from one very healthy not cramped plant then you would two. But thats just my opinion and what I would do. What lighting are you using ?>

I know. Im just pushin it lol. I want to yield enough to hold me over the 70 days till theyre done again. I consume about an ounce a month between the wife and i. Lighting is one hans led panel. Which is 56 watts (shown great results but i have yet to try it) and 30-60 watts of warm white leds supplemental. Trying to keep it cool. And stay as stealthy as possible...
