I want to put some steaks into the soil of my plants but worried it will damage the roots and hurt the plants. Is it alright to put the steaks in even though it will hit some of the roots

Yes just try to avoid the tap root, they are resilient.

Mght piss them off for a day at most but they will be fine.

I have steak droppers I pull them out randomly
when defoliating.
Never had a problem.

The tap root is that the root close to the plant

Plants aren't carnivores. I wouldn't try to feed them any steak.
