A little input, with pics

Took a few pics two weeks into flowering. Have two more in veg area that could go in, but can't figure out a way to configure the flower area for all four plants. I have a 150w HPS with two 42w CFLs (2800k). Also, the two currently in there are getting dangerously close to the bulb. I am thinking the best option is LST tie down? The area is about 3'w X 3'h X 3.5' deep.

Any suggestions would be great!

yeah tie em down. If you start bending branches early on in the veg stage, you can control the height and shape of the plant. Also topping helps and the last pic looks like you might have done so. It looks a little cramped in there, but i would say with a little lst you should be fine. i don't think i'd put another plant in there though for fear that they might have to compete for adequate light. They look very healthy! nice job

i would tie them down aswell or move the light up cuz you got 1 that looks like its growing past the light anyways, but if you move the light up i think they will just keep stretching to it

I can only agree... However, it sure does look awful dark in the lower extremities of your garden... Have you considered any supplemental lighting for all that undergrowth? I'm only growing in a 4'x2' closet, but I've got 1,150w of HPS and MH, and with my CO2 system, and awesome ventilation, I churn out .91 grams of sticky dank per watt... No shit... Got 7 in 5-gal buckets over a drain pan and grate with sub pump now, and 4 smaller ones, all at about week 4 of flowering, and I will get between 1 and 2 lbs out of it... I just pulled in about 1 and 3/4 of a lb off of only 6 big beauties this past November... So, Just my pov man... Id add sum more light, in your case, a MH to penetrate lower and deeper, and tie those babies down... Lookin good tho... I'd definately consider a ScrOG or SOG method with these tall, lanky sativas... Or just FIM and supercrop, and you can probably control their height a bit better in the future...

Yeah I found right away that the sites under the canopy were going to struggle so I have 2 150w (equiv.) CFL's that hang underneath the main canopy. Eventually I want to go with a 400 HPS, do you think it will produce to much heat?

Not at all-ASSUMING u will have adequate ventilation by way of at least having a temp controlled room, and have them "dancing" in the wind of a couple of oscillating fans.... U will find that the 400W HPS is a great choice for a small closet op, because if u get a HPS, u have the versatility of also having a MH, and can therefore buy both type lamps, and use them interchangeably... I have "open" core and coil kits, so taking my starters(ignitors)out of the ballast's circuit is a breeze, and I then run my MH's when I change my ratios of HPS/MH lights up... I would venture to say that u may not be a Journeyman electrician like myself, so the one u would most likely buy would likely be a pre-wired, enclosed set-up, BUT they will still fire up as is on a HPS, and I would definately recommend using the 400W MH for your seedling(keep plenty of space, but they love it, and will shoot up before u know it), and it will keep your internodal spacing short, so that if u decide to start pruning your vegging crop early, and often, you will create massive indoor bushes, that when u switch to the 400W HPS when u sex them, and get ready to start 12/12, u will have plenty of light for one or two big beauties... I can't help but to urge u to do this, and then, later on when u can, get a dedicated 400W MH(about $85 at a lighting supply house, for a core and coil kit, not incl lampholder and lamp), and use both 400-watterz for both periods of growth, and u can thank me for the bumper crops, then... Soundz like yer on the right road dude...

Those plants aren't getting enough light and tying them down will only increase the plant footprint and mean that less plant surface is getting usable light. I wouldn't add anymore plants without adding more light.

I think I will definitely do SCROG next time. And of course a few clones are ready and the other two plants are ready for flower. Starting to get backed up while I wait for these two beauties to move along.

Canadian easy coast climate, what is a good time to be able to work outside with the plants. That would free up some space.

^^^^ This is a clear indication of how addicting botany is as a hobby. I mean I am only doing what is available to me (1-2 clones off each plant, 4 strains), and you quickly accumulate quite a garden. I would hate to ever throw out a successful clone

No doubt... I personally wouldn't even fathom growing under only CFL's either...
