A new drought for the victims of Sandy - booze

As an alcoholic myself, it would be one of the first things to stock up on, serious. Although don't think my supply would have lasted this long, really makes me think about how much I should stock up on in case that happens here.

When hurricane Charlie blew thru here my mother-in-law grabbed her radio, bible and a full bottle of scotch and hid in the bathroom. When she woke up the next day it over.

Well yeah I mean but you never know, we were without power for 3 days when Charley hit, wasn't bad enough to close liquor stores around us at least but 12 days would be unthinkable if that happened lol.

If I were ever forced to evacuate my home, first thing that gets packed are my canning jars w/meds.

Fuck the booze.

A parking garage doesn't sound like the safest place or am I wrong?

Multi-level concrete parking garages although not designed with the intention, are actually the best places to protect vehicles during high winds/storm surge. The structures disperse wind. Charlie was worse than even Wilma, fortunately it was a small storm but it hit eastern Lee(Cape Coral)and Charlotte county hard. I used the Lee county public parking garage, it was free that day!.

Were you in your car for the storm? Let's some weed, some wine, some of thee (if you have a partner). A storm could actually be fun.

lmao, don't get all upset on us. I was just taking a nap.

Was kidding, no actually got out of the truck b/c certain areas of the garage had little wind. 20 miles to the north, these folks set-up a nice shot near Port Charlotte:
