Sup guys, I've taken some advice and redone the grow room, its still lacking in ventilation, but in the mean time I'll use a fan, My lighting is what I am most concerned about, not having enough, will it be enough for flowering etc?

Here is the room before I started.

After the reflective material(emergency blanket) is put up,

and then the final product.

The room consist of:

1 closet lined with emergency blankets.
2 48" fluorescent dual bulb shop lights, with aquarium/plant bulbs (t12 40 watts 1900 lumens)

The package the bulb came in says " This wide spectrum fluorescent lamp is an excellent lamp for plant growth. It differs from some other growth lamps because of its relatively high emission of far red radiation, which promotes growth and flowering for many types of plants."

"Contains a combination of phosphors which produce light rich in reds and blues."

I don't see what the temp of the light is, if anyone knows, its a GE Ecolux Plant & aquarium F40 bulb, t12.

So I have 4 of those bulbs all together in combination with 7 CFL lights, in 'Y' splitters,
Seven at the moment, Softwhite CFL 26watt 1700
Lumens

I have two more grow lights but i don't know if i should put them up or not,
Two 24" Lights Of America Fluorescent Grow Lights (17 watt) 150watt output. 1093 Lumens ColorTemp = 7800k
I thought i'd use them for my cloning tray.

Other Equipment:

I've upgraded to a brinks digital timer, because i am to stupid apparently to use the manual/non-digi ones.

I have an Acurite temp/humidity monitor that is hanging high in the room, does it matter if the meter is at the top or bottom of the room?

Also i have a smoke/carbon monoxide detector in the room too, i'm not exactly an electrician and the wiring looks a little scary, I'd like to get a fire extinguisher in the room too. anyway here are the pics and any advice at all will be VERY HElPfull.

One question i have, would moving them out to direct sunlight during peak hours of they day be helpful to the growth?

Cloning:
I have two different types of rooting agents,

Schultz Take Root rooting hormone
Indole-3-butyric acid .1%

GardenTech Rootone Rooting hormone w/ fungicide
1-naphthaleneacetamide .20%
Thiram (tetramethylthiuramdisulfide) 4.04%

I don't know which one i should use. and I have a
Peat Pellet Cloning Tray with 36 Starting pellets
Do i soak those pellets in cloning solution like i would rockwool?, if so, I have Miracle Grow Quick Start Planting and Transplant Solution. Is this "cloning solution" I'm not seeing a Active ingredient, it is just listing the analysis (4-12-4) npk 1.8 ammonical nitrogen and 2.2 urea nitrogen. anyway, i am a few days/weeks away from cloning anyway so i have time to learn.

Thanks to everyone at RIU for helping.

Looks like you've done a good amount of research and put effort into planning BEFORE you started your plants.

Lighting - I think everyon would agree that you cant beat HID's but if that is not apart of your plan there are not many other choices to go with. Is it due to a ventilation problem or cost of electricity?

Maybe run fluros for your vegetation plants and a 150w HPS for flowering?

I start my sprouts in rockwool cubes.

Good luck

looks good but one thing you might want to look into is mylar or pvc plastic. Tin foil can be bad for grow rooms as it can burn your plants much like a magnifying glass

Like any craft or hobby your results will reflect the amount of resources you devote to it.

If you can't spend anymore money just go with what you have, but I think if you were able to get your hands on a low wattage HPS lamp you would not regret it.

I like the moving the plants outside for real sunlight if you decide not to go HID. I have some girls outside and they are loving the sun.
